Have i done the wrong thing.... Parking eye fine

The issue is exacerbated due to parking eyes throwing money away litigation spree.
What I can say, is they were instrumental in lobbying for POFA on the guise it would reduce the burden on the courts.
It has in fact done the opposite and County Courts are getting clogged with this and I will bet my hat Circuit and district judges are getting very pead off indeed with having to judge over what is no better than a penalty for standing on a crack in the pavement.
They wont stand for this long and they will have it grouped and kicked up to judicial review level if they have to, this is where case law will come in to play and that really does hammer these penalties in to the ground to be dead and buried.
They are stupid fish IMO that will drink the pool.Be happy...;)0 -

Or could a mod add a line on the first posts ?
We have asked before and the stupid old thread can't be closed because we didn't start it (I think).
I have just gone through the entire 40-odd pages of that 'Parking Eye, Nasty Tricks' thread, changing my posts throughout to shout that the advice has changed! Other regulars on there were trisontana and esmerobbo who still post here and might like to delete/amend their advice from the old thread too.
I was thinking at least then when a person finds it by Googling and starts reading it without noticing the FIVE YEAR OLD date(!) they will see that I have told them to 'stop reading this ancient thread, the advice has long since changed!'
Not much else we can do if people are going to Google and read 5 yr old advice! Obviously the internet holds old stuff, always will.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

one of the problems here (compared to other forums that I mod on that use VBB) is that effectively , there is no mod !
I can close threads , split them , edit them , merge them , give out infractions and all sorts of other tools that can be used as a mod or admin in vbb, but only if you are a mod or admin on a board, not a board guide
the problem on here, is that the board guides cannot do a mod job , so they cannot alter or edit members posts, cannot close threads (afaik) but can only split them or delete posts or a few other options, crabman has specifically said he cannot amend CM posts in the threads and posts I have had him archive out of the sticky threads , so you will find I have had those threads tidied up somewhat, I regularly pm him about splitting or merging threads or posts etc , including the ones this OP posted, to try to get some continuity and stop any confusion
if I were a mod here most of what you are asking about is childs play to a member with mod powers, I can assure you of that from my own experience as I do it on a daily basis (elsewhere)0 -
I'm doing the same as you Coupon. I am just copying and pasting your new reply. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Edited..
Removed, it read harshly and was not useful.0 -
okok, wow... you really love a newbie don't you?!
for the record i have RE read the newbie info thread and as i thought last night, there is nothing that says what happens if you have already told them you are the driver (hence this thread), so i guess i will hang tight and wait for their response before i take any more steps.
thank you to those who were kind.
I understand it must be frustrating when stupid people like me ask for help, I apologise whole heartedly for wasting all of your time. I will try harder to pay more attention in future and do my best not to annoy anyone.0 -
you can still follow the steps but if they know who the driver is you cannot hide behind POFA 2012 or any RK laws or rules , the driver is always liable, but sometimes the keeper has more rights
in practice this means some doors may be closed to you , but the basics remain the same
I have tried to get all your other posts in other threads removed or merged into this one to stop the confusion etc, so please stick to this one on this current topic
thank you0 -
Why would there need to be yet more info in the NEWBIES thread, specifically about if the driver has been named? The need to appeal is the same, the POPLA 'winning words' are the same. So it's not very fair to say there's 'nothing' for you - it is ALL there for you, how to win at POPLA in post #3, the lot, on a plate to copy.
And to be fair...Sarah you did not actually say that you had told them you were the driver in your first post, so we aren't psychic either. You said:have therefore confirmed my car reg, address and that i am the owner/reg keeper of the car... can i still ignore the fine
We love a newbie who reads the info here and wins at POPLA - we want you to win at POPLA too which is why we keep dragging you back to the Newbies thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Please stop being so hostile, there really is no need for it, also being a pedant is not becoming. i've apologised for doing it wrong, and being too stupid to understand everything in the the info thread.
If you could take a pointer for those who have already named themselves as the driver that all is not lost... to put the mind at rest and allow then to continue to fight the ticket. some may think they have ruined it for themselves and just pay it...0 -
OK I may add a sentence if others also need it (it's never been said before but I do amend the thread when I see a pattern of any confusion). We were just frustrated to see that overlong, rambling 5 year old 'Nasty Tricks' thread bounced after all our efforts to spread the right info throughout 2013. If we could have deleted it from the entire internet we would have done about two years ago!
Sorry - I am pedantic but it's pedantic people who spot the errors in PPC World and work to bring them down! There are a lot of pedants here on this forum and we are the ones who will help you pay nothing. You will win this, you are totally in the right place now on this current live forum.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
