Mrs MoneyPenny, I cannot thank you enough! That looks absolutely beautiful and I have Pinned it. Valli suggested making a cushion, framing it, or displaying it. Between the two of you, I think I'll be able to use most of it. I can't sell it, I just can't.

Those were the days when people made lace collars by hand. And some one did. More than once. And various other 'useful' things.

Wow, Crowdpleaser. That would make anyone's eyes water.

Flying: The Room of Doom looks better, and I've found something I shouldn't have lost yesterday, but managed to. At least I hadn't thrown it away. This room will require a lot more work. Proper dot to dotting going on, at last.
    Better is good enough.

Before you panic.. I'm not dead or locked in a cupboard or lost in my pit of destruction.. I'm just busy... doing the 'c' word

Middle room has been *gulp* vacuumed.. I have to do the carpet shuffle to gather up all the hair.. but it looks almost presentable in here and too 3 hours and still needs another 2 or 3 on it.. but it's a start.

washing is a nightmare, drying is worse, folding is a waste of time.

    glad your ok pgipen

crowdplaser, sorry to hear that its horrible when a big bill like that comes unexpectedly.

honeybear, mil used to do lace making, she stopped last year as she said she cant see well enough anymore. shes got a huge stash of pillows bobbins and threads along with all the bits shes made.
i once walked past a house and they'd rather cleverly used the bottom of the front window blind to display a collection of bobbins they were hanging down spaced all along the bottom edge of the blind, it looked lovely.

Wondered why you were so quiet, pigpen ;)

Emergency trip to Mr A and McD (one is inside the other) DS chose a power rangers cake lol so I don't even need to decorate it :T well, I have some Madeira slabs so I'll stick those together and decorate for Monday. Whatever isn't eaten can be taken into work on Tuesday, they love a bit of cake!

All's well that ends well! And to think, I didn't get stressed about it at all! Nor do I feel bad about my home made cake tradition :T

All we need to do is write the card for my friends little boy, so we have all day to play tomorrow...

Yet again I've not managed to do much this week except S&Sing & general tidying. I need to go to town shopping tomorrow as DD is off skiing in 3 weeks & we have nothing suitable for her to wear. Heres my list - I'm thinking its a bit ambitious but I'm aiming high!

I'll read back over the thread with a cuppa a bit later.
