What a lovely person SFG turned out to be :think:35, semi retired, sun, sand, sea, life is good
When you are done moaning remember that there are people who would love to have your standard of living!0 -

It never ceases to amaze me why some forums, particularly a MoneySAVING vent forum seem to attract people who like nothing more than to hand over fistfuls of cash to organisations and positively slander anyone who baulks at that!
Thank you for the spiteful and venomous comments from the other MSErs. You clearly work for these sort of appalling companies and are using poor T&Cs as a vehicle to justify your jobs!
I'm not sure if I'm in the group mentioned in the first paragraph or third.
I did offer some sympathy to you for the fact that you have a £20 voucher that you can't use.
I do think you've had some adverse comments (due in part to your response to some posters, such as being sarcastic to Torry Quine who did nothing more than point out that these vouchers are more generous in their length of validity compared to some others) but the simple fact is that vouchers do generally have an expiry date and, unfortunately for you, you missed that deadline.
Nobody's fault but yours.
I think you need to check the meaning of the word 'slander'.
Who exactly do you think has 'slandered' you?
I've not seen any evidence on this thread that anyone has said they are happy to 'hand over fistfuls of cash to organisations'.
Posters have said - perfectly correctly - that vouchers have expiry dates.
To accuse posters of being employed by, affiliated to, defending or supporting various companies is, quite frankly, rude.
Not to mention in virtually every thread I've read patently untrue.superflygal wrote: »
Would be interesting to see if any of the people implying I am a complete and utter imbecile for being unhappy with the flippant reply from Love 2 shop, have ever featured complaints of their own, or whether they roll over like submissive puppies. Look. You missed the expiry date.
You wrote a polite (according to your first post, but after reading your post #48 I have my own doubts about that) letter which was rejected.
It wasn't a 'flippant' reply.
It was a concise, to-the-point, no-room-for-misunderstanding reply.
'Flippant' means something else entirely.
Being rude and sarcastic just makes you look silly.superflygal wrote: »I will not feed trolls or be "cyber bullied", so I won't bother coming back on this forum! :rotfl:

That, of course, is your prerogative.
But you are the only one likely to lose out by taking your bat and ball home.0 -
If you want Money Saving advice, see post 36.
If you just want people to tell you that everyone is out to get you, then pick and choose replies that agree with you without offering any sound advice.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
If you want Money Saving advice, see post 36.
Or even better (post 36 is saying spend vouchers ASAP to avoid the effect of inflation) ...
Unless you can buy the vouchers at a worthwhile discount, don't use vouchers at all - as other posters have pointed out these tie you in to a specific retailers and can expire. Use cash, or even better a credit card (for section 75 protection), preferably one that pays cashback.0 -

Very good point. I was thinking not only of vouchers which are bought but also reward vouchers/reward points schemes which you get given.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

What has ignoring t&cs to do with moneysaving ? a lot of people would consider buying and usng vouchers not to be moneysaving , as they limit your choice where to buy an item and you maybe paying over the odds for it .........'' moneywasting idiot forum'' ring any bells?

You're the one who feels it inappropriate to ascertain the conditions of the vouchers held. Who's the moneywasting idiot?0
