    That's a very poor response!

It's not illegal to have expiry dates on them unless you're planning on telling me any different?

It's certainly not illegal under consumer law.

It may be considered an unfair term under contract law, but I don't think there's a strong argument for that either.

Considering that this is a website and forum which is based at getting good value and service for consumers some of the comments about what the OP posted are disgusting.
And some of you are titled [Fantastically Fervent MoneySaving Super Fan] and [MoneySaving Stalwart] on this forum.
Some of you are so angry about a small mistake made by someone.
Often people have unrealistic expectations or, due to their own mistake, things have not gone to plan. What is important is to ensure that peoples expectations are realistic and maybe pointing out the obvious that they may have missed.

In this case the correct money saving advice is the very obvious, "spend your vouchers before they expire". Yes, it would be nice if they did not expire, but currently many do and when that happens the only person to blame is the person that hoped to spend them. Occasionally a vendor may offer a goodwill gesture, but there is no legal or moral obligation to do so.

  • Why do people put the exclamation marks in?
Why not just say Love2Shop rather than !!!!2Shop?
    Confused :(

There was a word filtering issue on the forums which meant love and a few other words were censored and coming out as exclamation marks instead of the word.

It's been sorted now which is why some posts have !!!! and some have love.

expired love 2 shop vouchers sold at high prices...so why do they sell?...or is there something dodgy going on.
At a guess, because they don't appear to have codes/barcodes to scan so less likely to be refused if the expiry date hasn't been noticed or has been changed. Plus being accepted in lots of shops gives more places to try and use them.

A few years ago there were a load of counterfeits around.

Thanks to Sooler and Dors01 and the other person, whom I am dreadfully sorry for forgetting your username for your kind and helpful remarks! Its good to see that friendly, helpful people are still on MSE!

It never ceases to amaze me why some forums, particularly a MoneySAVING vent forum seem to attract people who like nothing more than to hand over fistfuls of cash to organisations and positively slander anyone who baulks at that!

Thank you for the spiteful and venomous comments from the other MSErs. You clearly work for these sort of appalling companies and are using poor T&Cs as a vehicle to justify your jobs!

Would be interesting to see if any of the people implying I am a complete and utter imbecile for being unhappy with the flippant reply from Love 2 shop, have ever featured complaints of their own, or whether they roll over like submissive puppies. I think you are in the wrong place dears. You should join a forum called "moneywastingidiots.com"

I will not feed trolls or be "cyber bullied", so I won't bother coming back on this forum! :rotfl:

But I read things therefore don't waste money like you.

Subbmissive puppies? Is that what you call people more vigilant than yourself? Surely that makes you the bully!
