That, my dear fellow, is par for the course 24/7....
I had expected my comment to cause more than the normal head scratching, but a good deal of seething, asse-scratching, dribbling, and foaming at the mouth as well.;)0 -

There you were at 9:09 referring to Hamish's post (above) which was timed at 9:18.
Then I realised that maybe you use the default sorting of latest last, whereas I use the sorting of latest first.
Takes all sorts.
Maybe you should avoid referring to Hamish's posts at all?
Gen is the other side of the Neutral Zone and his posts have to pass through an anomaly which has the effect of bending time.
It's all quite simple if you watch SciFi channel'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

It's simpler than that. I'm 11 hours ahead of you so have ages to reply to your posts.
I'm replying to this more than 10 hours after you posted it but it will appear within minutes. I'm planning on using this to make a killing on betting on the horses.0 -
Hope you're all coping ok with the massive flood of migrants from Eastern Europe.
Presumably the next unemployment figures will be sky high as a result of the influx.
Any noticeable impact on rents yet?
I have no issue with genuine Romanians and Bulgarians. I do have an issue with Gypsies from these and other nations because of their anti-social behaviour and attitudes. They are already causing problems in certain towns around Britain but the government can't expel them as they are EU citizens. I think they should be deprived of citizenship rights until they can prove that they can behave in a civilized way.0 -

Well good luck with that one....
I am less concerned with the effect of the time warp there. I'm more concerned with the gravitational issues that cause bathwater to disappear down the plughole in a vortex the other way round from the more civilised Northern Hemisphere.
Surely this must also have an effect on the brainwaves and the way in which the mind works?
Maybe it also affects the spin of a cricket ball.....0 -

You obviously live on another planet. I wonder how many people on these forums are genuine working class Brits who face the problems caused by immigration every day? Too many people here live in gilded cages.
Many working class Brits are facing problems due to their lack of competitiveness, lack of numeracy and literacy skills, and unwillingness to put in some hard graft. Thus rendering them utterly unemployable.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

The words of the working class:It all depends on how much value you place on a car. I bought my new house six months ago and then last month splashed out £19k on a Toyota Auris Hybrid with the intention that this would be a 'long term' car with low running costs and high reliability. I could have used the money on a conservatory and I often wish I had done this, but then again I felt I needed a new car, so........
Hmm, a new hybrid car or a conservatory..? Such are the tough decisions that the working class face these days.0 -

I'm not working class, no. Not now. But I do come from a working class family and I know the hardships and sacrifices that my parents, who both worked in factories, had to make. I was lucky enough to go to university and my skills make me very much in demand, but that has nothing to do with my background. My values are those of the old British working class, not of the materialistic, smartphone using modern chavs but also not of the champagne swilling chattering classes, yummy mummies/daddies and pretentious Range Rover or BMW drivers.0
