That's a good idea for a treat. I usually save mine for Xmas and double them up for toys. I got a fiver - lucky me0

Good morning all,
I write this entry to my diary with the morning sun streaming in through the window and the seagulls of Padstow calling to one another across the harbour. A far cry from rainy Lancashire!!
The journey down was long but fun. We decided early on (after about 12 miles) that we were not prepared to sit nose to tail on the M6 from Warrington to Birmingham so we drove along the M56 to Chester and came down through Wrexham, Oswestry, Welshpool, Church Stoke, Ludlow, Leominster, and then across to Gloucester where we joined the M5. It was lovely driving through the Welsh Marches. Arrived about 2230.
Not sure what we are doing today but Bedruthan steps are closed because of the storms, and Lanhydrock House is shut until next Saturday so we won't be going there!!!

Morning all,
Enjoying the week away in Padstow. Yesterday we just had a little jaunt to Mawgan Porth for a stroll on the beach. The waves were massive and fantastic to watch. Mesmerizing!!
Had a pint of Cornish Rattler in St Mawgan and then home for a lovely beef stew.
This morning I'm off to ring the bells for service at Padstow church, then we'll stay to the service itself. After that, who knows? Maybe a trip across the Camel to Rock and Polzeath!
Catch you later folks!

Hi Thistle, although a long journey, sounds a much better one than the motorway.

Evening all,
Started the day off with some bell ringing as we rang for service at Padstow. The Service was lovely and we were made to feel very welcome indeed.
It was very windy so the sea was amazing to watch. We went to St Isaac this afternoon after a superb Sunday lunch at the Quarryman at Edmonton. Doc Martin was not in residence but we did see his house. One of the actors from the series was sitting outside the pub by the harbour - the chap who plays the son of the loveable rogue. He didn't recognise us!!!:rotfl::rotfl:
Then after taking some fantastic pictures of the crashing waves, we headed round the coast to Trebetherick and Rock to see gloriously golden sands. All very lovely. Finishing off with a nice pot of a Earl Grey tea (OH had a very ostentatious hot chocolate with marshmallows and squirty cream:D)
A stroll round the harbour after dinner and now sitting in our cottage with a large glass of damson brandy (made from the damsons off our tree).
A pleasant Sunday!!:DMortgage at end 05/2007: £90200

Gulp,
Just transferred £991.81 across to the credit card as the 0% interest rate on a portion of the balance runs out tomorrow.
This clears CC Bal #1 on my signature, and brings CC bal #2 down to a round £2,500.:T
CC bal #3 will be paid before the statement date - round about 17th March.
This means I've now paid off over a third of the debt :dance:
I'm now sub £3,000:dance::dance:
I've shaved 5 months off my CC DFD - only 15 payments to go!!:dance:
Feels good!:D
