How many customers does Ovivo Mobile currently have?

So they grew 5x as much in the last year.
Not bad.
But it shows just how little people know about Ovivo as well as how much people use their phones/buy contracts.
Whilst Pay as you go numbers are declining across all networks, pay monthly numbers have been increasing and increasing. So it's showing that the majority these days are more likely to buy a contract with a phone/go SIM Only than go for a pay as you go network.
You'd think with a "free" allowance that people would be rushing to join Ovivo. Whilst it is gaining customers, it isn't as big as one would logically expect a "free" network to be.0 -

People just buy 24 month cvontracts because they want the latest smartphones.
Same way why cars are becoming more and more extravagant.
people don't pay outright for their phones/cars any more. They buy all of it on credit. So they would not use pay as you go (or run around in a £2000 car until they save up 10 grand to buy a upmarket car)0 -
I thought I would pose a related question here if I may, rather than starting yet another Ovivo thread!
How many people use Ovivo as their main sim? I guess the answer to this will depend on how many depend on data useage, but as I don't and only really use calls and texts, it works fine as my main sim, but it seems a lot here only use Ovivo in a spare phone?

I am using it as my main number at the moment. All is fine, even data, as long as you remember to visit a website and click continue once the Now page that appears.
My only (slight) worry is the chance of losing my number but for the money saved I'll take the risk!

I had to give up using Ovivo as my main number due to the slow / non-existent data. All I use data for is to check Gmail, which was fine, and check the BBC News app, which wasn't. The app would never open. As I occasionally use data for other things I got a 3 sim on the 3-2-1 and that is so much faster.
I use the Ovivo sim in a spare phone for calls and texts.0 -
I use Ovivo for main SIM and indeed am tempted by Three 321
BUT Three does not allow the flexibility of tethering while Ovivo does.
I think that Three put their highly effective tether-block in place to protect the market for their expensive data only SIM deals where your credit always expires, and also to protect their expensive SIM contracts market where the cost of a package that includes tethering is eye-watering.
Fast data on a phone is not so important if you are travelling with a tablet.
If Three allowed tethering on their pay as you go plans, I'd be there in a heartbeat.0 -

I've been with ovivo since May 2013 and my daughter has had her sim since August 2012, both used as our main sim. The data speeds were awful for me for a while in January / February but they have been fine again the last few weeks so I'll stick with them for now!0 -

A very quick check of the Three website finds this:Pay As You Go – For Pay As You Go customers, all calls made (except calls to short code, premium rate numbers and EU Roaming calls), are rounded up to the nearest minute and are charged by the minute.====0 -
I have yet to meet anyone who has heard of Ovivo.
They don't exactly advertise do they.
I keep telling me people on payg about Ovivo but it seems to go in 1 ear and out the other.More fool them I say.
In answer to the question about who has an Ovivo sim as the main.My reply is I don't know anyone who uses more than 1 phone lol.
I've been with Ovivo since November 20120
