I like to know so I know is it worth taking a risk that they may go bust after I transfer my mobile number to them using a PAC code.

I cant find the information on wikipidea so does anybody knows?

well if they have a high customer base then its unlikely they go bust and vice-versa.

I think what grumbler is asking is: How many would you consider enough?

(Also, if they have lots of loss making customers they are more likely to go out of business than if they have a smaller number of profitable ones)

Having lots of customers doesn't automatically mean the company won't go pop, Barings Bank had a large (and quite wealthy) customer base and look what happened to them.

I think even if they went bust they would give you enough time to transfer your number to another network.

so nobody knows apart from the CEO himself about the customer base figure?

If so is this a secret that only the CEO knows?

I guess Ofcom knows too as all networks report their figures.

I guess they keep it secret (like the CEO), but you can try asking.
