Aw that's not nice
, I had three Fiats and loved them all, really cheap to buy and run, reliable
While I was looking around for this one, a Fiat fitted the criteria (Panda 4x4 IIRC). It would also have the advantage of always being able to find its way back home as it would be leaving a trail of car parts behind it...
But I think my aversion stemmed from when I had one as a courtesy car. It was a Fiat Punto and it was so unresponsive, I kept stopping it and looking underneath to check the blade was still going round..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Don't ever fall into the trap of thinking people do this "because you're a woman" or "because they know best". Essentially, they have an agenda and they are manipulating you to acquiesce to that agenda in whichever way will work.Glad shed door issue has been resolved KC. Have you found the missing sim card?
with everything that's going on - which started with the lovely day out on Sunday that was just too long for my health - it's more than I could do.
The building works have settled down - the guy who was here yesterday is out there now, building the new frame for the new door :j so when I've caught up online, the sim card is the most important task. I keep trying to pretend it isn't, but it isSave2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
sim card/builder update
Found the "offer" simcard, that contains Martin's £60 Amazon offer. My lovely young builder took out my existing simcard, which the shop assistant had put in the phone as some kind of temporary measure, and I'm currently charging the phone - 31% and climbing
Lovely young builder (he and his partner are trying for a baby) turns out to be something of a master builder - he's desperate to sort out a one millimetre bow in a particular length of wood, and he can't do it, because it's attached to a wall made of a single course of brick, its not strong enough for him to use his biggest screw threadsbless.
I'm a very happy bunny. Am currently faffing about on swagbucks, but I already have to put in a query on a survey that wasn't credited - I have a screenshot, thoughits almost as if I knew it would happen, isn't it :rotfl:

Phone is fully charged
I haven't dared to use it yet, but I've done a lot of setup on it
will do more.
Builder has moved to inside work, as its wet out there today: I directed him to the office, it's the easiest, and when it's done, I move my desk into what's left of the alcove, which makes the whole office circulate better, everything is easier to accessHis cold has come out more
I really hope I don't catch it.
Swagbucks - I don't think the website accepted my querywill try again this morning.
I accidentally joined Opinion Outpost (a linkie that I thought was going to Pinecone Research) - I was quite peeved at the length of the surveys, but I've already earned £5 from it, which I'm just about to waft over to paypal, so that's good.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Yay to sim card/phone and nice young builder (although not his cold!).
Re Swagbucks - you should have received an email from them after you put query and you might need to reply to this to get it actioned. They're usually pretty good if you have a screenshot. Thanks madvix! Yep, I'm going to have to resubmit that query to swagbucks ... I've never had any emails at all from SW, not even a joining one, and I check my trash bin all the time, so I don't know what's happening. I *am* on that thread, and I have the swag button too
which is fun. Also fun is the dinosaur game :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: you get two whole points every so often, which is really funny :rotfl: but for a single day, its good :rotfl: And the codes is one of the few things I'm able to do
I need all the help I can get, thank you for spelling it out
Poor builder has gone home - he sounded really bad, tbh, I'm just about to flush the house with fresh airSave2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
The scaffolding is being put up as we speak, by subcontractors :j
Builder's not here, of course, he sounded really ill yesterday, but didn't seem to be coughing and sneezing, so I'm hoping I haven't picked it up. We'll see.
I flushed the house through, as mentioned, and spent 45 mins in the garden cutting back brambles (first time in a month I've been out there, I think). Been struggling with SW a bit, but interesting discussion on the thread on here.
Today - hmm, more garden work if it stops raining, and if I work on lining a curtain with a cheap Wilko fleece throw, then I can have SW videos running at the same time.
But the first priority is getting my new phone up and running:o:o

I'm sorry I haven't dropped in for ages but real life has dealt me several rubbish cards recently. Trying to get myself together again now though.
I haven't had the chance to read the missed posts (so many of them:eek:) but I'll have a good catch up soon.
In the meantime I just wanted to say I've missed the friendly and always interesting banter on here. You people always manage to cheer me up even when you are battling adversity yourselves:A. I've missed you.0 -
Sorry you've been having such an awful time, CBC - lovely to see you here, and if you need to write about your stuff, you're welcome to use this thread, it's so anonymous, it's wonderful.
Don't bother reading back on mine - it's pretty blow by blow, after all! The big things are my building works starting up, and I have a new phone - I came on here to witter about that, actually.
Going through the signup procedure - trying to use the sim from free, but I can't get online to do it - lost my password for my home wifi, so I've just updated that, but the phone won't listen to me about that yet. I'll try again after I've been in the garden, and if its still no go, I'll go live chat on the provider's website.... this is why this sort of thing takes forever!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
God bless Carboot (or whoever you worship!).
Is GOT so ingrained now that we say "Seven Blessings on you" ?!0
