Always nice to talk to sisters though :):):)

I bought the railway ticket (not the cheap Advanced ticket, as I need the flexibility) and looked out the quote from the builder - which answered all my questions, yay! Nearly, anyway, and the rest sound like sheer paranoia :D I've even backed up most of the computer :)

I finally approached the phone ... nobody told me about the weird space-saver 3 pin plug that Samsung use on their phone chargers  I had to go to Live Chat

I'm giving it all a rest, and disappearing into the shower :) good luck this evening RT, I'll be finishing up the set up for charging this evening too. Race you :)

  • That can be a lot of physical work.

It's always so much better when the house is in a tidier state. One reason I miss the cleaner. :(

Did you see the explanation of what happened to one or two much loved threads? They were reported as :spam: to the point where the system auto-deleted them and there was no ability to recover them. Might be worth you keeping a count KC so you don't suddenly disappear

    Phew!

They picked the wrong forum to spam, thats for sure :):):)

My energy levels have crashed because of how long the day out was on Sunday - it included a guided two hour walk, as well, so it wasn't something I could tailor to my needs.

Still - today has seen a real victory, my sister came round by agreement and we manhandled my single bed into the second bedroom, from the office - it's important to be done today, because the builder needs access to the wall where it was. Plus the office is where the loo was installed, so anybody staying here needs access to the office, which makes it not such a private room to have a bed in. Going to be odd when I sell it, but that won't be for a while...

The next few weeks with the builder in will be hard, but *so* worth it - and just moving that bed means I can start to see how the house will feel when there are fewer compromises like that :) I'm very chuffed.

Oh my! I haven't been on for a couple of days ... thanks for this input, SL - I think this is only the second time it's happened to my thread, though, so hopefully I won't disappear  I'd hate for that to happen!
