Greent, I really didn't know that lavender was a decongestant - very interesting, that! I'll be harvesting my lavender plants next year. Also about myrtle, which seems to be a common plant in the UK, even grown as a hedging plant. Thank you!
It will be lovely to get that quilt finished - it was the last one my mum was doing, and it means that all the grandchildren will have a full-size quilt. We (her offspring!) all have quilts too, as well as quite a few other cushion-size examples.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
It's a milder decongestant, for sure - but great in a blend where you don't want it to be *too* medicinal or stimulating
The quilts sound fab - what a lovely piece for everyone to have - getting that last one finished is, I'm guessing, very important xxI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
Brilliant pointers all, thanks! I ended up getting Olbas oil as a starter (all the essential oils with Prime cost double the price). Now that I've got tips, I'll stock up with a supplier of generic oils who gets very positive feedback0

I'm glad that worked well for you, Ed. It's great that you're going with essential oils, I know you work hard on nutrition, it only makes sense to do the same with what you're putting into the air.
As far as the quilts go, yes, getting that last one finished off, especially before Christmas, is really important, a weight has been released.
I'm shattered todaya very long, very lovely family event yesterday ... good heavens, I even got home in the dark :rotfl: so not much will be going on today - a few little bits and bobs online, including unsubscribing from my kindle unlimited experiment - I *really* haven't used it - definitely going to open the post, as I want to get on with getting the new phone working. Other than that, my dvd recorder is going to get a lot of use

The quilts sound lovely.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
So, absolutely *nothing* got done yesterday, I just accepted it and rested.
Today, I'm back on the trail again
- dishwasher's just finished
- washing machine about to go on
- when thats done, I'll have a shower (better not do it at the same time!)
- computer tidied up a bit so its ready to get backed up.
- negotiating dates for travel to Merseyside.
After that:
- do the actual back up
- phone builder - info and specs, please! Comms aren't great this time.
- book tickets to Merseyside.
- get the phone going, for heaven's sake!
- clean the bathroom, which has a level of disgustingness I can't describe
- check bank for various bits and bobs.
And breathe ....Save2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Breathe indeed.

I know, it looks a lot in some ways, doesn't it - dishwasher's finished, though, and the wm is on, thats good. Merseyside tickets: we know what dates we can do now. And it seems we've just sorted Christmas too, which is going to be **completely** different from how it's ever been.
Right now: buying the ticket, then phoning the builder. Has to be done! Will resume pottering about mse after that, I'll need it by then :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
