I didn't go :o I considered that all the walking up and down stairs carrying heavy wodges of books and certificates to be equal to a walk :p

I do feel things are a bit straighter - makes me feel better, and since I'm home all the time I'm not out, so to speak,it's important :)

    Thats good then :)

It is good to feel things are straight - some of it is as simple as putting things away - even though its not in your way, its still probably visual clutter, and to me that can unknowingly become pretty oppressive. So having cleaner lines in my rooms is a good thing.

Builder still hasn't come back to me after my phone call on Monday :( I'm going to try to phone this morning before I go out to my dental appointment - the crown is being fitted today.

Plus, when I go out, I'm going to buy some long handled shears - my Robert Dyas has them in, Wilkinson Sword, for £20 - chopping back the ivy behind the quince bush will become a lot easier, and that will help the quince bush not to stray over the path quite so much :)

Not much going on today, cos of the dental thing (and the rain) - I might well shred the security papers, that would help the tidying up :):):)

I haven't tried for the builder :o but the dentist hasn't happened either. Turns out they've been doing "just in time" delivery - and the van broke down, so my new tooth didn't arrive! Repeat appointment tomorrow.

Loppers went better: it was the Ultralite that were on for £20, so I bought standard, same brand, for £15. So then I bought a new trowel as well - carbon steel, hardwood handle, for £7. And somehow the bill has come to £17 - there must be a "% money off at the till" offer that I hadn't seen :D

So more the quality of "Just In Bieber" than "Just In Time" then.

Does make you wonder how they quantify in a financial sense the saved storage space for a day of a whole tooth...

Or they can't count. Either way: SCORE!

Totally agree with this - I'm not a tidy person though, so I find owning less is the only way to achieve this!

Great result at Robert Dyas and I hope the dentist goes well today (Agree with Z - that tooth must be huuuuge to cost that much in storage!):rotfl:

    Thank you all :):):)

The insertion of the crown that finally turned up (yes I know - the Koh I Noor diamond must look funny jammed into my mouth :rotfl: went extremely smoothly - my young whippersnapper of a dentist really knows what he's doing. Local anaesthetic still took it out of me, so I still had to rest. All done now though :j

And straight off on a Nat Trust visit today - a slow and steady one, nothing spectacular except a really long view across farmland, from the tip of a steep slope. Incredibly beautiful.

Nothing whatsoever of any moneysaving value has been done today :D but days like this are *why* we do moneysaving.
