Thanks both! I've no idea about the synching still - I'll press the yes button when I set up the new phone, but I think I'll be inputting everything manually :o there isn't that much, frankly :rotfl:

I bought the new one! It's "only" 8GB, but expandable to 128GB and I'll deffo expand it somewhat. Not done anything with it yet, I just wanted to get it under my belt. I also popped to M&S, just pulling things off the shelves without any real regard to prices, for my sister's birthday (today!) and it only came to £35, which was what I thought it would, so I'm happy.

I spent hours and hours yesterday integrating the genealogy certificates my mum had, with the ones that I have - she didn't give me copies of all that she had :naughty: :rotfl: but I'd sorted all of hers for her a few years ago, so the integration was actually pretty simple, if long. That was a big win

:hello: The little birthday feast went really well, thank you :) with leftover for my sister and a few things we didn't even open, so they can be put by for her 2nd celebration, a mystery event after which we're going back to her house :j

Today, I have a humogous list :o when does this ever stop? I have just:
    - sent documentation of the two sets of probate cheques to my brother and sister.
    - sent a few photos from yesterday to sister.
    - put the washing machine on - the last of the clothes from my mum that we've allocated to me, giving it a good hot wash.

Out of a list of about 30 things :o this is what I've selected, that I really want to get done today:
    - ring builder.
    - ring brother.
    - clean bathroom
    - check telecom deal that include mobile/broadband/landline, to please my niece :p
    - put washing away. And tidy. Again.
    - email another rellie.
    - take the "notes" off my old phone, t/f to laptop, there's a lot of stuff on there that I want to keep.
    - I'm in the middle of checking scans of a particular photo album, I'd like to finish that so I can put it away.
    - go for a good stiff walk - thats about building up my stamina, I don't feel I have the chronic fatigue any more :j:j:j but my stamina, even to be in company with people for longer than 4 hours or so, is utterly woeful.

Hmm, 9 items, I think - not a particularly round number, but I'll take it :rotfl:

Good point, SHS :o I promise I'm taking care. Update:

    - sent documentation of the two sets of probate cheques to my brother and sister.
    - sent a few photos from yesterday to sister.
    - put the washing machine on - the last of the clothes from my mum that we've allocated to me, giving it a good hot wash.

Out of a list of about 30 things :othis is the amended list of what I've done:
    - ring builder.
    - put washing away. And tidy. Again.
    - take the "notes" off my old phone, t/f to laptop, there's a lot of stuff on there that I want to keep.
    partly done, about a third.

Yeah. It's not a lot, is it! Cuppa tea, and off for that walk as soon as it stops raining, I think :)

It's plenty I think KC! :j As for whether it ever stops - I suspect not :rotfl: I remember once reading something I think the nice lady who writes the Down To Earth blog said about housework - it never actually ENDS, and it sabotages us to think about *having* to get to the end, because then we get annoyed if someone uses a cup and puts it in our nice clean sink, or something falls off a shelf and breaks and we have to clear it up :o She says 'if housework never ends, I never have to finish it' :j

    Ah - I found it:

    https://down---to---earth.blogspot.co.uk/2007/11/this-is-quark-i-made-from-my-yoghurt.html

and a follow up here where she talks about splitting the day into segments and taking plenty of rest

    https://down---to---earth.blogspot.co.uk/2009/04/housework-never-ending-task.html

Good luck with the rest of your list, and I'm glad you've stopped for a cuppa! :j

Oh thats good, Cheery! I like that :) It applies to stuff on the laptop, as well, for me :o and the genealogy files - there's always another blogpost to draft, always another set of photos to classify, always a bit more research to integrate into the story at large :o

I'm definitely doing most things I do because I like doing them :j except the annual accounts

Okay, list for the rest of today is to be amended. The only thing I *really* want to do is go for that walk, since I *did* manage to talk to my brother (who reminded me about security for the new phone, now its a proper smartphone!).

After that, I *want* to faff about with the rest of that photo album.

I don't think the builder will ring back today, but if he does, I won't answer - that will mean ten minutes of faffing over the diary, and it just won't be a good feeling.

    Walking.
    Photo albumming

    :T

ETA broke that straight away - wanted to buy the new sim today :o done, am closing down

I think it applies to most things really ... we never actually get to the clean slate.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
