I didn't know that. Thanks:T. I just became fed up of hearing GO say it every time he made a budget statement and at practically every other opportunity too:rotfl:0 -
Hi KC
Just catching up. I am so sorry you had such a bad patch with you health and being off line; but hope you are on the mend now in terms of health and tech.
Lots achieved for you - I have similar sized lists of things to do and it can be a bit of a headache deciding when to do them all. Just catching up with your self today and then I'm going to do things - starting with a small yoga session to concentrate the body and mind.
Take care..

Hello everyone
Slight amount of self sabotage on Saturday, I knew my sister was going to her 2nd meeting of the Athletics, and got really restless, so I took a 15 minute bus journey to my next little town along the route - stayed about 90 mins, including waiting for the bus, and it was too long, so both Sat and Sun were wrecked
I *did* do 30 mins weeding yesterday though, so nothing permanent done.
I have an admin list today! I don't know how busy people manage their social lives - for me, I have a trip home to see bro and finish off probate work, plus a catsitting option I want to take up (for the same nephew and niece) which means a workaround for a friend who was travelling to see me in that time. Plus catching up on all the admin I haven't done for the last four days. I must open the post. I must open the post.
"Fixing the roof when the sun is shining!" I always avoided audio of George Osborne, so I didn't know he used that :rotfl: but I hadn't heard it previously either, it's brilliant :j:j:j Still catching up here first though :kisses3:Save2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I'm glad you managed to avoid it:T. He said it ad nauseam:rotfl:. It's worth remembering though;)
I hope you'll be feeling 100% better very soon:beer:.0 -

- set the washing machine going, twice.
- carried on weeding - it's a big patch now free of weeds, time to put some soil down and cover it with bark chippings, I think
- did a yougov survey, 50 points for 5 mins, hurray.
- cooked some beans I'd soaked, even that's a win.
- started drafting a blog post about coping with very hot weather.
- just spent a whole 99p on a kindle book: Deliciously Ella is on offer today.
- got rid of some of the rubbish that was still hanging about in the garden
That's about it for anything constructive. Which means that I didn't open the post. Again. Okay, I'm going to boil the kettle, and while it boils, I'll open the post. There's at least one credit card bill in there, *and* my National Trust membership card ....Save2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Well, its kind of you to say so, beanie, but I really, really haven't been busy
in fact, I read my kindle for so long yesterday, I gave myself a headache
However, I *have* opened the post! :j There's follow up I need to do, pay credit cards etc, but its fine. Otherwise, all I'm doing right now is one of the most mindless computer tasks known - updating my bookmarks before I back up
I'll need to do something a bit more physical today, I didn't sleep properly last night2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well done on the post and the beans (totally agree that that's a win, I don't know why I find it so difficult to do!).

Thanks madvix
I was really pleased with the garden work - 2 or 3 square yards free of weeds, so I put soil down, used up the rest of a 25 litre bag, and then used a whole 90 litres of bark chippings on the area, so the worms will still be happy. And the bags are cleared from the grass
which can now be cut "properly" (i.e. with my shears).
DW is on right now, then I'll be off to Waitrose, for a few essentials: frozen broccoli and 2 jars of pesto :rotfl:the extra 35p per jar is worth it to conserve energy for tomorrow - off to the British Museum to see the Native American exhibition.
Hope all's well in your worldSave2023: the year I get to buy a car0
