Good to know, CBC, thanks for that. And for the hot and soothing :coffee: My immune system is so **odd** - the kind of thing that other people see off within a week takes me ten weeks
v annoying.
Asda delivery coming today, builder didn't return my call yesterday so I left a message this morning, and apart from tidying, that was about it. So today will be writing a blog post, and sorting notes and pix on my phone, kindle and old laptop onto my real laptop :rotfl: lots of novel ideas get 20 words on my phone notes facility very late at nightso it would be great to flesh that out.
I can also then finish off the European travel book - maybe publish it Octoberish, as people get their feet under the table again. Been playing with a map of the Greek Islands, drawn by my own fair handto avoid copyright infringement  it's quite fun.

I'm with OVO, I input my numbers monthly via an app and get 5% interest on any amount I've overpaid ... have had issues with SP to the extent I have complained and got £50 compensation, as long as it's not a complicated issue I think SP should be OK though ( I was dealing with an auntie's account that had several meters )0

I've just switched to Tonik (100% renewable), and I was impressed to see that they email to ask for a meter read once a month and when you log in and input the read the website gives you a live balance based on what you've input - why they all can't do that I'm not sure! And I get 3% credit interest too
Sympathy for builder not ringing back - it makes planning anything so difficult!
Book update sounds excitinglooking forward to that!

Great you're back online - and at such a fab price!

Interesting to know of the energy options! I'm afraid I'm still at the stage of following Martin's recommendations and Getting It Done, when I can manage to do something. I've joined Scottish Power now - hopefully, next time I need to update my utility accounts, I'll be in a space where I can take more care over it, and go fully ethical as well.
Didn't do any of the book stuff on TuesdayI think I was quite conscious of saving energy for Wednesday - my sister and I arranged to go to Petworth House
I've never been to such a big house with so many nooks and crannies - and the old kitchens are open to view as well, fascinating stuff. Didn't see everything, and didn't see any of the grounds - the weather was **horrendous** that day!
Recovery day today, bit of faffing, nothing major. Definitely preparing an early lunch while I read threads on here

Thanks SHS - I'm not too bad today, but the big problems take two days to show up, so I'm still quite wary.
Builder problem sorted though - I left another message after typing the above, they phoned back ten minutes later, and they've already been round to take details for the quote. It'll be a few days, there's quite a lot of detail:
- 5 soundproofing panels.
- tightly fitting, insulated loft hatch.
- 7' tall garden gate and short side fence (only the width of the gate itself).
- removal of asbestos roof of shed.
- polycarbonate roof on shed and tightly fitting shed door.
- repointing the back wall of the house, there are *big* holes in it.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Keep out those rodents!0
