    Thank you!

All's well with both, and her mum and dad are over from France to keep things ticking over, so it's a good family week :)

    Two finance-y bits to report:
    - just bought a rail ticket to Merseyside, thank heavens for the railcard, is all I can say!
    - had the quote through from the builder, I'm going to accept it, so there's lots of work to be done. And I *am* getting all party wall alcoves soundproofing, which is a good 20% of the cost - and also means an awful lot of stuff will need to be shifted around, three rooms are affected! I'm already starting to faff around the edges of that one

Congratulations Great Auntie KC! That's lovely news!

And also good news about the building work - it'll be expensive and disruptive, but it sounds like it'll hugely improve how happy you are at home.

Congratulations Great Auntie KC! :j :j

Fingers crossed the building work goes as planned - I imagine sound proofing will make a huge difference to your quality of life so well worth it! :j Does it take up a lot of space? Hope the disruption in the meantime isn't toooo disruptive.
