KC, may I ask a daft gardening question? How am I meant to cut the edges of my lawn when they're bordered with stones/flags? The Flym0 doesn't reach and the strimmer would just use up too much of the monofilament reel...

Thank you beanie - I felt okay after a bit, I just need to get going slowly after an especially stressful week like this one.

Wot MWC says :) or hang the expense and renew the monofilament every 5 years, instead of every 6 :D

Yep. With you. Ooh, look at that pig flying past the window. No, otoh, nothing to see here, move along, these aren't the droids we're looking for.

I've been a busy little droid myself - I *did* do the banking, which was positive, I lay about for a while recovering, and now I've got back on here and been working on writing adventures.

3pm now. Sister's duties at school are officially just finished by now, and other than exam-related emergencies during summer (very unlikely given the age group she [STRIKE]works[/STRIKE] worked with, but possible) she's now retired :j:j:j

That's brilliant, rasputin! 7 more weeks for me ... not that I'm wishing my life away or anything :) and of course, I'll be doing lots of writing too.

What plans does your mum have?

KarmaCat, she doesn't know much yet with what to do. Her DH is semi retired and works when the work is there, so she says first of all they are going to have to learn to live with each other full time! Then they are doing the house up to sell, and then downsize moving closer to their family in Surrey. After that - whatever their fancy takes :)

I was lucky and won a years National Trust membership in the competition forum (!), so I gave them that when they were down a couple of weekends ago.

At 33, I wonder if I will ever feel able to retire.
