I have to agree with that, beanie - I filled in an Oracle survey, as I hadn't had anything for a few days, and I nearly lost the will to live ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Baby Step 4 - Put 15% into Pension
Baby Step 6 - Pay off the Mortgage early
Baby Step 7 - Live like no-one else0 -
rasputin (hi! Like the name!) yougov seem to like me because I'm self employed, I think - I did have a weird run recently where I had 3 surveys in two days, even for me that was odd. I don't have any advice I'm afraid, sorry
Oh I know - you know the bit at the end, where they ask you for optional thoughts? Give them some optional thoughtsOr futz about on the website itself with surveys and whatnot - make them want you

I may have mentioned it before on this thread:o but do any of you do Prolific Academic surveys? They are much more interesting than other surveys as they are individually commissioned by academics undertaking research. I often wonder what the heck they are trying to discover though as some of the tasks seem quite random:rotfl:
The surveys vary greatly in length, some are only a couple of minutes long, but the pay rate is excellent and you always know if you are eligible at the outset. Definitely NO screening out after already answering lots of questions;)0 -
I don't remember you mentioning them, CBC, but even if you had, another mention is always welcome
and they sound great. I've found their website, I'll sign up later, thank you
rasputin, let us know if you apply to them too.
Erm, given that you live in this time zone, you were up awfully earlyhope you're getting enough sleep.
Right, I have a little to-do list on my phone, mostly boring continuations of this week, but I'm going to watch some youtube videos from John Tighe, who's a successful kindle author, about authoring, and ... ta-da! I've sold one of those books I listed last week - should make almost £7 profit, which is definitely a win-win, and the sort of rate I wanted to achieve.
Uh oh, ginger cat and his tiny tortie girlfriend have just had a barney on the broken roof of my broken shed  neither of them fell through, so thats goodSave2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thanks your concern about my sleep, KC:A. I've always been a very early riser and don't need a great length of sleep. I sleep very deeply though so I suppose it's a case of quality not quantity;). I don't know why I was up and about so ridiculously early this morning though, it's usually 6 when I get up:rotfl:.
If anyone does decide to join Prolific Academic could I be cheeky and ask them to use my referral link please? It will result in me getting 10% of the first redemption withdrawal of the person who uses it. The person using the referral link still gets their full withdrawal amount. Every little helps, as they say;)

By the way, withdrawal (by Paypal, very speedy service unlike a lot of survey sites:j) is from £5 but Paypal take a small 'cut' so it's best to wait until you've earned £20 before requesting a Prolific redemption. That way it's fee-free:j
Also, they send out very occasional survey invitations so it's necessary to keep logging on several times a day to see if there's anything there that you're eligible for. A bit of a bind but the quotas fill up very quickly so it's advisable to do a survey as soon as you see it.0 -
Absolutely on the referral thing - good job I haven't joined yet
been too busy with the washing machine and the dishwasher, plus scouting to see if ginger cat has forgiven his girlfriend yet

Good on you, beanie - I still haven't got round to it
but in my defence I did actually sell and post one of those Amazon books today :j it went as a small parcel, not a large letter, sadly, so profit is a fiver, not £7, but I'll survive
