Pruning and Weeding Woz Us, and then I had a long rest :D

Eventually, I managed to list four items on Amazon - no idea if they'll sell, other copies on for silly money at the mo, but I've seen them on for reasonable prices at other times, so we'll see how it goes.

    Stopping now ...

    :kisses3:Thank you both

I'm still mooching about on Amazon :o while watching a dvd, and found the truth of something very interesting - I've noticed talk of buying unused stamps for ebay sales etc, at a discount - and it doesn't always happen, but I found a set right now: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GB-1999-BERLIN-AIRLIFT-Booklet-Pane-UM-Mint-SG-1671M-/301993406040?hash=item465035ae58:g:XpkAAOSwc1FXauWG where a first class stamp costs 50p, not the actual price of 64p. Interesting, if done on a larger scale :)

    *Really* stopping now.

Why doesn't seller just use them as stamps? Because they cost less in the 80s?

On the subject of stamps, when I was selling a lot on ebay I used to buy from this retailer

I'd get £100 worth of stamps for £85. It was a big outlay, but at the rate I was selling they'd only last a few months.

I used to buy a few 1p, 2p 5p and 10p stamps from the Post Office and my challenge was to make up the full postage amount required for the parcel in the fewest stamps possible.

I suspect they just haven't done the maths, Ed - a lot of low priced items are bound to lose money when a sale is made, because of postage and charges and whatnot :(

Thanks for that! I've put that seller on my watch list - I've got a lot of my own to use up, but you never know. I wonder where that seller *gets* them from!

    Night all :)

    Morning campers :)

I have 3 hours client work today, but at a client's request I kondoed two hours on Thursday into the following week - which is a relief, this week was a bit crowded. The stairs are still **filthy** got to pay attention there - once I get rid of the foam etc I need for the therapy room, my house will stay a lot cleaner :j

As I'm making the rounds of email, newspapers, mse etc, I'm scanning *more* letters :o these are from my genealogy files, but they were only written in the 1990s - about the collapse of my little Zimbabwean family to one spread out over the UK, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, South Africa and Australia. Such a complex situation, and very sad for many of those concerned.

Though now it means there are *more* stamps to be cut out from letters :D

I've also been dismantling stamp sets bought as collectibles  which I seem to have been doing since 1977  as thats the earliest set I can definitely pin a date to :p

Hope everyone has a good day.
