Even in the "virtual" aisles, it's the same. "Baking X" is often a 5th of the price of "Kids' SuperFood X"...Take plenty breaks - its not like it'll disappear during the night.smallholdingsister wrote: »Just a thought!

It's glorious round this way, I must say ... I've been working in the garden, so nice to feel able to do that and then dive into the shower2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Goldie, those little supermarket packs are usually better value than Holland and Barrett (who I loathe and despise
) but pumpkin seed, for example, works out at £8.50 per kilo at Sainsbo, whereas at HSupplies they're £5.99, or even £5.69 if you buy 3kg!
I'm not a fan of H&B either - I occasionally buy things there, but it's through gritted teeth!
I'll be taking a look at Healthy Supplies on my next pension dayOh! Goldie shops on there, but it never occurred to me. Rats!
I've moved away from Amazon recently. I've been shopping around more - I tend to look on Google shopping and Quidco, and see what comes up, and generally rummage around on the netIt's glorious round this way, I must say ... Hi Goldie
good to have your feedback on that - shopping more carefully, both online and offline, is one of the ways to help along our Financial Independence, of course, whether we're wannabe or *actually* retired
This is week 12 in The Countdown :j:j:j
I haven't quite finished unpackingits just that my empty suitcase and empty posh handbag are sat around looking at me, mostly
:rotfl: got to finish that before those online food orders arrive
A crescendo of needed, small-time repairs has built up in the house - never mind really old ones like how naff the cooker is or the replastering that needs doing:
1. the drain from the sink is leaking very, very slightly, and the cupboard underneath is suffering a bit.
2. flyscreen on my landing window ripped away from its frame - pretty sure thats a mea culpa as I only open that to get a through draft, and its the windy side of the house.
3. Can't close the middle drawer of my desk, this one happened about 30 mins ago - I can see something is stuck between the end of the drawer and the carcasse of the desk
4. Patio is getting overwhelmed with weeds, never mind the garden - I have outdoor quality filler, its just the time and concentrated energy to use it.
3 hours client work today, plus cleaning beforehand, that will be lot, along with 3 phone calls cancelling stuff.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Try to not be overwhelmed with your day.

Beanie, you're psychic, thats what you are! One phone call done, cleaning done, w/m contents are drying on the line. But instead of anything else I'm catching up on repairing the friendship with the ex-partner, and dealing with followup on the funeral I missed going to because I was at the wedding.
Working in 25 minutes, will be forgetting all of it for now, concentrating on the work.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thanks earthgirl ... I haven't *done* anything about any of it, just listing it for future reference
Just managed to do another cancellation phone call - plus I've picked up another couple of hours work this week - I don't really want the workbut I do want the money
which of course is true of all of us on here
I did manage to get half an hour of weeding in yesterday evening, that was good. Nobody would know by looking at the garden, of coursebut thats how it goes.
Today is once again about finishing catching up, not the writing I hoped to start up again. Twas ever thus... Roll on retirement.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
