Awwww! It was very rainy the day we were there, beanie, though it was glorious the next day - here are the photos, anyway, and I've included a seashore photo too :)https://www.flickr.com/photos/113913137@N06/ Ignore the photos of the weird fish thing :) I was talking about that on the KonMari thread, trying to figure out if it was a one-off ... and its not :rotfl:

Skinny dipping! Or as I first wrote, skinny dripping :D I spent a teenage holiday at one of the most badly polluted beaches in Majorca, hired a pedalo, and when we were far Out There, flung the bikini onto the pedalo and pottered up and down, well away from the beach and the worst of the pollution :) lurvely.

Okay, today is a catch up day. I haven't picked up any terrible lurgy :j I just have a single, telephone session, so I can put the washing machine on, finally put the unpacking away, tidy up, burn some discs for people as wedmin, that sort of thing. And more tidying up :D

And I just noticed this article in the Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/books/2016/jun/02/adam-croft-self-published-her-last-tomorow-story

    Nice!

Good to see you back and a bit more chipper. How is the garden?

I decided to try to conduct an organic slug repellent experiment which required a long dry spell (which had been forecast) however since then it has been cold and wet... I am now resisting the urge to buy possible slug repellent plants to replace the stumps of those left behind!!

Beautiful pics, I love Scotland and try to get there at least once a year :)

The garden is extremely chipper :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: in fact, its busting out all over the place _pale_ :D

Ooh ... I have a *lot* slugs in my garden, I'm sure, there's a lot of greenery, a lot of bits left over that slugs adore. Its a good job I was chipping away at the pruning and weeding and whatnot earlier this year, because otherwise a lot of the garden would now be in accessible :o I kid you not, unfortunately!

That would be lovely! I'd like to do that too, after retirement/getting well. Whereabouts do you go? I loved travelling around the Hebrides, but I've stayed in Glasgow too and loved that.

Right, off for Second Breakfast, I think ...

We generally go the the West Coast, Applecross was last years destination and it was stunning. I've also visited Skye. I love Edinburgh and Inverness as well.

I do like the East coast as well and am partial to the Borders - which is where the Scottish line of my family hail from. So kind of all over I guess...

Second breakfast sounds like a great idea - and then I'll give the garden a good coat of looking at :)
  • "wedmin" great phrase.
