You're right, this is week 22 :kisses3: no paid work today :j and 2.5 - 3 hours tomorrow, then week 22 is done as well :j
Sunshine today, and the forecast is good, but it was good before that two hour downpour, which Goldie and RT also experienced  so we'll see what happens. Still no lakes or rivers inside the house :j
Got lots more sleep thanks to Boots the Chemist, but still not planning too much:
- supermarket delivery to be checked and put away.
- to be honest, I'm not sure what else. I can't do anything that needs working space because everything is stashed out of the way for work/flood safety, and right now my brain isn't in the mood to write anything properly.
Possibilities:
- go over a draft blogpost I've already done.
- work a bit on the border at the front. With the fence down, the weeds at the back have become more accessible
Thats not bad, actually :j
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi KC
Just catching up.
Sorry you are feeling under the weather and you have these repairs to deal with.
Sending blue skies and sunny days your way...it was lovely here yesterday (pity I was at work)...
Take care.

Hi KC - glad to hear there are no indoor streams or rivers!:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls
My parental unit has only been here to visit twice so everything is a novelty including Brighton - I was quite prepared for us to go into the museum and inside thepavilion but the parental was horrified by the cost so it was a relatively MSE day!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 10 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 15 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!0 -
MCI - thanks for the blue skies, always appreciated
and it's actually been very lovely here today
RT - ah, yes. Horrendously expensive! Though I hope the museum's still free! I've spent many a happy hour in the Pavilion Gardens, being dive bombed by pigeonsand let's face it, even sauntering about in Brighton can be quite a show :j
My supermarket delivery arrived well, and I did a bit more chopping back of the cherry laurel (another black bin bag!) plus went over the blog post, but I can't face all the faff of setting it out and setting up links - might do that this evening, might not.
I've rebelled and taken a day off today, in factbuilder did buildery things and didn't contact me
so that was a bit iffy. I was just glad to be outside in warm weather doing garden-type things

Builder's assistant has been to repair the wonky fence panel at the back. That fence is definitely going to get some preservative this year
Builder phoned this morningroofer can only come along next week
but the ceiling over the built in wardrobe should be safe, so I'll be kondoing and returning a percentage to the wardrobe at some stage over the weekend.
£350 for storm damage - I won't be disturbing my insurers, claim record is intact.
Trying to rearrange the hospice visit again.
Viral wotsits is totally misbehaving, I'm actually struggling to breathe properly in the mornings, which is a horrible start to the day. Details of hospice visit put it all into perspective though.
Three hours work this afternoon, and an extra hour booked in next week. I'm a bit stressed, to be honest, but plodding on, in beanie's words2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I am sorry to virus is misbehaving.
Hope your Friday goes smoothly.

The post below is adapted slightly from one I made on another thread I visit regularly. No time for tailor-made posts today, sorry.
Sorry folks, not been on here for weeks and weeks. Real life has well and truly got in the way:(. Am helping to look after a very close family member with a very serious medical condition. Long story how I came to be involved, follows a very long breech and maybe I'm feeling guilty at this late stage but I can't really go into it here.
Am staying at their home about 150 miles away and they have no internet there so I'm never online:(. Have no other devices to access internet/emails etc, sadly. Just dash back to my own home for a few hours about once a month and try to do a bit of catching up between all the chores that need doing. No time to read all the posts on all the threads I subscribe to, there are thousands (posts not threads:eek:)but I just wanted to touch base and wish you all well:beer:.
No time now to faff about altering my signature so the figures are miles wrong.
Might not be back for a few weeks but I will be back one day:j
I'm sure you've been up to all sorts of interesting/exciting things whilst my back's been turned. I hope all is well with you x0 -
Boo to virus.

Hope virus improves. Have you tried using something like euculuptus ?sp oil mixed with whatever you have on hand overnight? Sometimes helps in these parts.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0
