so sorry about storm damage. hope you can get some help from insurer today even though it is a bank holiday.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Gosh KC, that sounds drastic! Hope your insurer can help xx
  • Thanks KC, I can see how using a free eBook as a way to push sign ups on your monerized blog could be worthwhile. I've seen this done to great effect in the health and fitness arena. I don't really know what I'd be writing about, I have a few areas of interest that I think I could write about, but it seems as though there needs to be a plan in place first, I don't think a kindle book alone is going to cut it, needs to be part of a bigger strategy, as you've alluded to with the blog.

I'm on the list for a callback, they've got so many people phoning  but it certainly inspires confidence when the UK call worker offers her name to help you with referring to the conversation subsequently - I call that service :j

Exactly right, SSS - focussing on one area is important. And several platforms supporting one another - so blog, kindle book, goodreads (you can get interviews as an author when you belong to an author group, my Scottish friend did that), facebook, shop if appropriate, all sorts of stuff.

Yep, the "concrete" into which the hip tiles are cemented is all over that paving at the front of the house _pale_ I'm glad it was overnight - its just where I walk towards the recycling bin _pale_ No water in the house - it wasn't very rainy, tbh, just windy - the insurance company have said if there's water ingress, you can do whatever it takes to protect the property, otherwise leave it alone until I get that phone call. I'm gradually trying to safeguard whatever's vulnerable - clothes in that wardrobe, anything on the floor. Its even trickier than a potential flood - at least that stays adjacent to the ground floor, even if it rises five feet. When its coming at you from above, who knows what's safe! Its a little disconcerting :p

I'm doing very little and not going anywhere :( feel rubbish, from self induced stress - the only thing that matters is not to fall too ill, and to recover. Bed, an old DVD, lots of cups of tea and salty gargles ... Thrilling. Next year will be thrilling

Oh no, that Storm Katie was really intense, been seeing on the news that a lot of people have had damage.

Hope you can get something sorted out soon. At least weather forecast is reasonable for the next few days, so it gives a breathing space.

Not suprised you are feeling stressed, I would be too.

Hope you are getting some good rest.
