Love Ancestry....................had it for years and built a sizeable tree (back to 1600's on one branch) but I just didn't have the time to do it, it's my retirement project :D:D

    Have fun in "Ireland" :T

Ooh, two back to the 18th century is my best - and one of those lines is Irish, which is very unusual, but only because an Irish ancestor joined the British Army (think Sergeant Harper in Sharpe :) ) and his daughter, my great x 3 grandmother, was born in France, which is a bit noticeable in working class Liverpool :D and helped identification no end :j

Have already had words about getting the phone number of the kind neighbour, such a good idea, Watty.

Will be buying my rail ticket this p.m., but in the meantime, off to post birthday cards, I've been trapped inside all day by really heavy rain, so I'm off out now its eased off :)

Just in and out again, beanie - I'll be in the North Berwick area. I so want to see all the different Scottish friends, but this trip is only about the wedding, and its quite .... big.

Ticket booked, Buttercup is ready to be drafted, at least, been playing wtih photos to make an avatar and I think I have one, though I'll sleep on it.

It *was* a relief! I had a feeling she was okay, just out of earshot of the phone or something, because she's *really* deaf now :o but of course, one day that won't be true :( But I think her constant tiredness is making her realise that we need to have a backup contact method.

Right, off to beddie byes. Night all :T

Ooh, following through with intentions, now *there's* an issue. Webcast on 16 April, £25 for 6 hours CPD without leaving the house, which is brilliant. Except that I'm retiring! I don't need to fulfil my CPD obligations for February 2017! It costs £25, and the £180 that my professional organisation have extorted out of me for a piece of paper is enough. Feels weird though, much more weird than cancelling the direct debit a few weeks ago :o

Just one session in the end today, and making an avatar of my own is more difficult than I thought it would be. Googling it just brings up the David Cameron film :rotfl:
