My late mother-in-law introduced me to poundland several years ago - have always been sad we don't have one near us, but my bank balance has been very happy - It's so easy to go mad when everything is sooooooo cheap!

Ooh, I didn't realise there was an online pound shop either! :j

(but I agree, it's so easy to go mad, and actually some things aren't cheaper in there at all!)

Ooh! Well, if anything I've written or done reminds you of that, I'm jolly happy :j:j:j "cold never bothered m:beer:e anyway" and building my own palace with a wave of my hand, yep, I'm up for that...

Um:o:o:o it was the bit where you said you were going to "let it go"...

...but I must say OH likes your vivid visual interpretation a lot better!

Any and all of that song actually, RT, its a good un (tho parents with kids who love the film might disagree by now).

I missed the poundland chat! Bother! :D It is a bit easy to get carried away. I want to write "it used to be easy" - but I nearly did it today - it wasn't bad though, they had sets of 2 rechargeable Panasonic batteries in AA and AAA size, so I bought one of each, plus 150 disposable gloves, and, um, a DVD of the first three episodes of Hornblower :o:o:o But at least I knew I didn't want plantpots, or twirly plastic things, or even rose bushes, or sliced bread, not even a gallon of bleach :rotfl:

Dear me, its a bit late. My neighbour still has the tv on in the bedroom next to mine, so I'm quite reluctant to go to bed, but I need to make a move ... sleep well all xxx

    :hello: Hi SHS

It was built in 1939, but the party wall seems to be unusually thin :( They play it quieter than they used to, but going to bed while its still on needs concentrated effort, plus trying not to get angry, or fill up with hate. Its not restful!

For the last few weeks, though, I've had a bit of a breakthrough on my sleep. For maybe 20 years, no matter what time I've gone to bed, I've woken up between 6 and 7am - but recently, its been much more appropriate :j:j:j Today, after going to bed so late - just after 1.30 - I didn't even look at the clock until just after 9am :D Its not convenient, in some ways, but getting enough sleep takes precedence. After I retire, I'll refurbish the therapy room - repaint, light some candles, stuff like that - and probably move my bed in there. As this is a semi, its away from next door's noise. I may also put some soundproofing material up on the party wall. I'll see.

    Thank you for your concern!

Today is an odd job sort of day. Scanning to declutter, trying on a few things to see if they can go, that sort of thing. Nice out there today, though, even if cold :)

  • Its semi-selfish concern (geddit?).

You would think it would be a robust build at that age.

What about bookshelves on the party walls?
