And I only have 28. Your comment is odd. Are you the official MSE post counter?0 -

Some info from the googlenet.
http://www.get-in-gear.co.uk/driving-motorway-breakdown.html
http://www.uknetguide.co.uk/Motoring/Article/What_to_do_if_You_Break_Down-100321.html
And the facts from the highways agency.
http://www.highways.gov.uk/our-road-network/safety/national-vehicle-recovery/
Cant find these fixed costs though, they were £105 in 2008 but ISTR it went up 40%.
Someone here was charged £143:

Oh hang on - here are the fixed fees:
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2008/2095/regulation/4/made
So yes £250 but not if its only a flat.
It can be cheaper to join the AA/RAC on the spot though.
Having not broken down on the motorway for several years, having to pay a higher fee the once can still be a saving.
But for a flat I would not be paying it at all, I would expect to change it.0 -

Problem?
Yes, I have one. Your spelling of tolling?? And the fact that if someone disagrees with you then they are a troll.0 -

First of all I am not Rodney trotter. My main interest is baking, banking, and batteries. I have no idea who Rodney trotter is, but whoever he is regardless of his numerous posts, that is up to him.
I think you are too busy on what is only a point of view forum.
I can assure you that me and Rodney have nothing to do with each other, so take a deep breath and get on with your own posts.0 -

You are the one who has dug up this thread tonight that has not had any posts for nearly a week.
You obviously have time on your hands. I'm unsubscribing from this thread now.0 -
