Of the many private messages I received even since this thread was started the one below is worth copy-pasting
It means a 1000 "thanks" to me... and thank you!!
As such, IMO, this thread has been beaten to death now, and should be locked.0 -
Of the many private messages I received even since this thread was started the one below is worth copy-pastingIt takes a more than an intelligent man to squash a fight with these posters representing there best interest in these con-websites. You obviously know the legal ground they are standing will soon fall apart - well done, keep it up.

Yet another dimwit (the one who sent the pm to Hpuse ) who thinks because some posters say the majority of these website are legal (as acknowledged by OFT) they are employed by or affiliated to these websites.
That 'thanks' isn't worth tuppence, Hpuse.0 -
A little bit more "pain injection" for the weekend.

you missed this extract from the article you linked to:Matt Wilson of the Advertising Standards Authority is angry that Paylondoncongestion is defying its ruling – but has so far done nothing about it. ‘In 99 per cent of cases, advertisers comply immediately. But in this instance, Paylondoncongestion has not. We are disappointed. The website still does not make it clear that it is unofficial,’ he says.
He adds that if the company does not fall into line, the ASA has other measures it can take. These include ‘naming and shaming’ it on the authority’s website, paying for its own adverts to appear in internet searches alongside those of the rogue website to warn potential users away, and liaising with search engines such as Google to get the website address removed.
As a last resort it can refer the company to the Trading Standards Institute, which has the power to take statutory action and impose fines.
These websites which aren't complying with the law by making it clear they are unofficial e.g. Paylondoncongestion will continue to flourish and multiply as long as regulatory bodies like ASA take no action - other than ruling they are illegal - and then state they are 'disappointed' when an illegal website doesn't comply with the ruling.0 -

hpuse, I don't think you can really cite your first post given that you've changed it 20 times."Always fulfil your needs, only fulfil your wants when your needs are no longer a concern" - citricsquid0

Trilogy of copycat websites owners identifying the "legal" ones each other....:rotfl:0

Oh sorry !, did you forget to read the sentence in full !!
Section 75 is an 'old' section it is not really useful for modern day and age to handle disputes especially online card fraud
I've read it in full again and all it states is that S75 is old (in your opinion) and that it is not useful
I'm still waiting for you to provide proof of your absurd claim that credit card companies and credit networks think that S75 is not useful for online credit card disputes. (and why do I get the feeling that I will be waiting a lot longer?)0 -

Yes your current 71 thanked count out of at the time of writing 418 posts is rather low (very low even) so I can imagine that made you happy!0
