A general message:
T&C's are meant to protect 'revenue loss' - not aimed to create or aid revenue generation.
If any online trader thinks they can use T&C's / DSR's 'wisely' to bring revenue - it is just a matter of time they get noticed by Trading Standards/OFT radar. Fate will be same as online copycats.0 -
Wealdroam - in a few weeks time, I suspect another 'story' will be published here.
In that, I would bet the author/creator/poster would be narrating how he ended up getting a court letter from one of these copycat companies.
After that post - another person will soon follow with a reply post saying that he too got a court letter. He will make an explicit statement in the post that he wouldn't have got the court letter had he or she paid up the outstanding amount when the first letter was received.
Message conveyed. Mission accomplished. :T. Do you now see how it all works?
EDIT : Needless to say, there will be 'contempt', swear words and *bleeps* and other adjectives on copycat websites added by these two posters. After all, what matters is money, honey:cool: who cares about contempt and reputation on a public forum.A general message:

Two posts only hours apart but the spelling and syntax and general readability in the first is much better than in the 2nd. Who is in fact writing these posts?
Of course still no real help for those in need but nowt new in that.63 mortgage payments to go.

Pollycat, Look what has happened in the last year. Do you see an answer to your own question above?
I have no idea why you have dragged up a post I wrote a year ago.
So the Government have done something about these websites.
Good on them.
Pity they didn't get their act together sooner.
That post has nothing to do with my accusation that you are insinuating that MAR2505 and esmerellda are lying about receiving these letters.
You're just trying to be a slippery little oik.0 -
I didn't know that.
Sorry but it's the usual cry... can you please point us to something to back up that rather rash statement?
Could I suggest that while you are waiting for hpuse to back up their statement, you find something to do.
You will have plenty of time so a two week holiday might do.0 -

Looks good for a week or two in the sun. HpUseless, any chance your google engineers know of a way for BoPsie to renew her passport?
Oh bu99er, one year on, the service providers still ply their trade!
Moves on to look at another government website, and the numerous duplicate jobs on Universal Job Search.0 -

My sentiments too.... for all those copycat traders who hired slaves to get upto the pecking order of google search engine....
Funny thing is, BoP will always have to do a lot of trial and error lexical terms to beat me here with a screen dump ..."quick passport renewal" ....:T0
