Does anyone want any more clarification on how enforcement is carried out in tackling this copycat e-crime.
I would be really happy if this was the end of the copycat websites, however, the article you linked is lacking in many details - such as what the actual crime is that they committed. As far as I am aware, offering this service is not illegal, so I assume it is something they are doing linked to these sites i.e. mishandling data etc.
The other issue that I envisage will be that these sites will just be set up from overseas instead.. the UK government won't be able to control them.0 -
