Just found your diary and wanted to pop in and say hello. You sound to be doing awesome with the eBay malarkey - go you! What kinds of things have you been selling? I've sold a few items in the last few weeks but I'm running out of things that are worth selling now I think.

Keep up the good work, I'll be subscribng to keep up :) x

Hi :) I'm determined to keep up with the beating, I have lots and lots to sell, can't be doing listing millions at a time so try to do them In 5's

You would be surprised heat people will buy on eBay I would say most things will sell eventually :D

    Hi :D

I seem to have spurts where eBay is concerned, sold a router, some clothes, jackets...old ps3 games etc - you name it :) anyway, I seem to start well then it dies off so I aim to keep it going by posting success on my diary and using it to clear the damn cards :)

Keep going you have spurred me on when I had lost interest, today is a new day.thanks

It's so easy to lose interest, lots involved sometimes and it can be a hassle all the packaging and posting BUT it will be worth it when the cards are clear :)

Nothing to report as yet today, still waiting for the cap one card to come in post though I don't expect it today as I haven't received the pin yet and they normally come first. So far so good with budget too, hoping to chuck £75 at the cap 1 card on Friday with some extra money coming in. Still pondering on what to do about my car....but I'm not rushing into anything.

Hope everyone having a good mse day so far :money:

  • Hopefully your card turns up soon! The pin doesn't always come first, so you never know. I got a new shiny 0% BT card from Barclaycard, that arrived Saturday and I haven't had the pin yet (not that I need the pin as I NEVER will use the card! :D )

Hope you have a good day :)

  • Hey!

Thought I'd have a look and see where you are and what you're up to. Sounds like you're doing great with your eBay sales. I have a box that I shove things in that I need to sell and shove them on eBay as and when I remember! They don't always sell but I relist them often or give them a break and relist again. Listed a DVD on there 6 times and eventually it went for stupid amount with 4 diff people bidding on it! So weird.

Anyway, have subscribed so I can keep up to date with how you're getting on. Keep it up and update those figures!! :)

So, got the new cap one 0% pin yesterday, albeit I think the post man delivered to wrong address as someone came and shoved it through letterbox late last night !! Just got to wait for the card then I can do the balance transfer from barclaycard.

I also worked out my debts remaining. They total 32,923.12 !!!!

£7900 is to my dad, rest apart from the cap 1 and barclaycard are all 0% too.

The focus this year is clearing ALL credit card debt, including the 0% cards! worked out totals (after expenses money paid on sometime thus month and they look like this)-

Lloyds 0% balance £3427.45 paying set amount £100 month

Capital One (1) 0% nil balance but will transfer the Barclaycard over as so as I have my card in hand.

Capital One (2) £1217.01 33.29% APR - paying set amount monthly of £150 and this is the one I'm throwing all available money and eBay sales at to clear first.

Barclaycard23.9% APR £1306.77 - will be transferred to the 0% Cap One (1) card ASAP.

Two items sold on eBay today, totalling £7.09 after postage, will throw this at the cap 1 card with APR, 2 other items closing in a day or so birth have watchers and bids so will post altogether, hoping for about £20+ off these 2 things.

My other debts after the cards total £26,971.89, all are 0% and I make monthly payments totalling £405 a month to clear these are:-

Drydens (egg loan) - balance £12,129.92 pay £125 a month
    DWP OH overpayment - £2,203.18 pay £100 a month
    Tax Credit overpayment - £4,738.79 pay £80 a month
    Dad balance £7,900.00 pay £100 a month

All these payments are ticking along nicely and once the credit cards are clear I intend to get rid of these, the DWP, then tax credits followed by Drydens (egg) and finally my Dad. I am hoping to get a F & F next year with Drydens if possible.

The figures are done and I will keep them updated from now on. :money:

  • Hey

It's good to see you so motivated - I should imagine the thought of all that money available to just you and your family at the end of it all is the biggest incentive!

I tried to get a balance transfer but unfortunately couldn't as I'd been late with a few payments (thanks to late wages being paid to me) so credit rating went a bit rubbish. After reading this though I've looked at the APRs on my debts and will be doing similar and throw more money at the higher ones than the lower ones.

    Anyways, have a great weekend!

Hi Sassy, thanks for popping in :)

I'm probably going to get rid of the high Apr cap 1 card. OH uses it for work expenses but I'm thinking once I can do a BT to barclaycard will do that, the APR is nearly 10% less and he can then use the barclaycard for work expenses.

The other 2 remaining 0% balance transfer cards won't be used at all! just there to pay off the debts at 0%.

Can't wait to be debt free, I will do it this time....
