Had another good day off today. I went to the gym earlier, will weigh myself on the fancy machine next time I go as it must be around a month since I did it last. Friday will probably be the next time I go as I am busy at work tomorrow and Thursday.
Me and OH went into town in the morning to see if he could find anything to spend his birthday vouchers on. We then went to the cafe which I had the money off voucher for so 3.05 spent on coffee and cake.
Other spends for today are 0.69 on a baguette to go with our soup for lunch and 1.00 on some juice.
Will need money for bus fare for work tomorrow but don't think I will need anything else. I'm just really counting down the last few days until being paid from monthly job so I can make some more debt paymentsMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Not much to report today, only spend was 4.00 on bus fare. I also received a letter from the bank saying that they had received my letter about PPI and I would hear back from them within 8 weeks.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Thanks Kim. I just need to keep this motivation going and make sure I stay focussed.
Monthly payday yesterday and I paid 50.00 to cc1 and 25.00 to cc2 getting me under the 10k mark- am so excited about this and its all down to the support on this forum.
Without it, I might have made the same amount of payments to cc1 but I would definitely have stuck the electricity bill on it and so would have undone all my work.
Because of this forum I am now thinking about where my money is going and actually sticking a proper(ish) budget. I even have 35.00 saved towards the next electricity bill
I got paid today from weekly job so made a combined budget from both wages. All my bills that are due out in the next two weeks are covered, I have put money by for the electricity bill and hen/wedding expenses and have also budgeted 25.00 for a night out with the girls as its been ages since we've had a proper night out. Plus I still have enough to get contact lens and a haircut.
By my birthday in May I want to have 12.5% of my debt paid. This means I have about 10 weeks to reduce debt by 800.00.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Fantastic! :j so lovely to hear this... congratulations on getting down to 4 digits! It's a massive milestone - it'll dwindle down in no time now
You can do £800 in 10 weeks! We believe in you! xxx0 -

Thanks for this lovely post!
Went to the gym this morning and used the fancy machine again so am now 11 stone 2 pounds (a loss of 1 pound), BMI 25.5 and body fat 29.3% (down 3.4%).
It has been a bit of a spendy day -
£1 on the fancy machine at the gym
£13 on TV licence (this is two payments worth as I can't remember the last time I paid it)
£6 in F*rmfoods
£4.51 in M*rks and Spencer (probably didn't need to spend this as it was to get lovely things for breakfast but it was a nice treat)
£16.75 at the local butchers (got heaps of meat, hopefully enough to do the whole month)Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

A beautiful day today so me and OH went for a long walk and then to A*di for some shopping, spent 18.24.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

I'm loving your diary. It's really inspiring me that you can pay off your debts a little bit at a time without sacrificing too much. I found that once you start living frugally for a period of time it becomes more and more difficult to spend. I resent having to buy coffee or have lunch out. If we go out I keep our leftovers to use for lunch the next day.
It's so good to see how dedicated you are, and you manage to stay upbeat. Well done you!
I found A Girl Called Jack's Blog to be super useful and her book has just come out. I bought the Kindle version for £6.02 and it's so useful. I'm sure you can pick it up at the library too.Debts: ASDA Loan - £6,848.01

Hi Tara,
You are doing fab. Well done on making those payments. Like you said without this site, I expect we would all be in the same amount of debt, if not worse.
Keep going, you are doing fab xx0 -

Thanks for your post Steerpike. I know if I cut everything right back and live a super frugal life, I will get bored and give up. Hopefully this way I will get there. I haven't heard of a Girl Called Jack but will have a look later after work.StressedSteph wrote: »Hi Tara,
