Weekly payday today - 134.74
14.74 paid to cc1
30.00 towards Edinburgh budget
30.00 budgeted for food for the week
40.00 budgeted for a birthday present for OH
Leaving me 20.00 for anything else that comes up, looking at my shifts for next week I shouldn't need bus fare and I have no social stuff planned so hopefully I won't need it.
So spends for today are 7.00 on a birthday present for my friend who I'm seeing tomorrow and 38.98 on a birthday present for OH.
OH was talking to his boss today about the possibility of getting some more hours as at the moment he is only working 2 mornings a week so should hear back about this some time next week - fingers crossed.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Heading home after a fab weekend in edinburgh and thought I better do a wee tally of my spends.
Yesterday I spent £5 on lunch, £13.50 on drinks (this could have been a lot worse considering I was in the pub for 5 hours watching rugby) and £15 on tea.
Today I spent £11 on lunch, £3.95 on coffee and cake, £2 on a magazine for the bus and £10.95 on a wee bottle of edinburgh gin.
So total spends for the weekend are £61.40, hmm a bit over budget, probably shouldn't have bought the gin but i do love it.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £46.47/£50

Additional spends for today - 1.81 on some milk and bread. Need to sit down with OH at some point and get a meal plan done for this week.
Really annoyed, I have had to chuck out another pair of jeans as they have worn thin so I have decided that I am going to use some of the money from the ISA to buy clothes.
I have also decided that I will use money from the ISA to pay the electricity bill and the money I have already put by for the electricity bill I will keep and put towards wedding expenses. I have a hen weekend at the start of April and will probably need around 200.00 for it. I had a huge argument with OH a couple of weeks ago over this as he feels I shouldn't be spending this much on a weekend while I am trying to pay off debts. I completely get where he is coming from and I wish I had just said at the start that I couldn't afford it but its now all been booked (the hen's mum has paid for it all and we just have to give her the money on the weekend) and it will be a lot of fun and lovely to see everyone especially some of the girls who I haven't seen for ages. It is a big amount though especially for a weekend.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Up early this morning to go and hand timesheets in for 2nd job so I get paid on Friday. It won't be a huge amount, probably around £55, as I only did two short shifts last week.
I also popped in past the housing association to get my registration number as I had lost it and couldn't bid on houses. We're hoping to get a house/flat through them at some point which would make a big difference to our finances. Renting privately is so expensive.
I have paid the electricity bill so that is one less thing to stress about. As mentioned in a previous post I am going to start putting by £10-15 a week starting from Friday so at the start of May I will all sorted to pay it with no stressing involved.
I have temporarily moved £500 into my savings account but would like to move it into an account with a different bank so I can't see it every time I log in to my online banking. Think I may need to wait until April to open a new ISA but will look into this.
Have allocated myself £50 to buy new clothes, put aside £20 to buy some nice food to cook OH a birthday meal at the weekend and paid £32.28 to cc1.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

A NSD today other than the electricity bill and the cc payment. Have decided to set myself a wee target of getting under £10,000 by the end of Feb. Should be doable as I only need to find £193.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Hi misstara, just had a catch up on your diary, I totally agree that you should go and enjoy the hen do. Whilst you have debts to pay, you shouldn't stop life entirely. Some things you will miss out on big time, like the hen do, it's a special time and if she is a good friend you shouldn't miss out. Clothes, yes they can wait until the debt pays. You don't need a brand new dress and accessories if you can wear something you already own. But you can't put your whole life on hold.
If you feel guilty about it, then what I would do is try and make up the money you spend ebaying some stuff or cutting back on something else.[STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59

Thanks for your reply Kei. Unfortunately I don't have anything at all worth ebaying but have definitely cut down on my usual social spending so will continue to do this and save the money towards this weekend.
Spends for today are 1.40 on a pasta pot for lunch (I wasn't very organised this morning) and then 26.32 in A*di after work. This includes toilet roll, kitchen roll and cleaning products.
I have training tomorrow and then 3 days off from both jobs so looking forward to that.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Loan payment came out today, will wait another week before updating signature to wait for the interest to be added on. I made a wee payment of £1.04 to cc1 this morning too.
I'm going to have a think and write up any wee jobs that need done around the flat because there is so much that needs doing that never quite gets done. Since I've got 3 days off coming up, I should be able to get a few done.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

I was naughty today and went for a pub lunch with my colleagues during lunch break at training. However, I went for one of the cheapest things on the menu - 4.29 for a burger and drink. Bit annoyed though as this was my only spend for today. If I had taken something from home, I would have had a NSD. I made another small payment of 1.70 to cc1 this evening too.
Tomorrow I'm going to go shopping for some clothes, have given myself a budget of 50.00. With this I want to get some jeans, some leggings and some tops. I am planning to go a wander round some of the local charity shops first and see if I can get any bargains.
My 'wee jobs around the flat' list to do in the next 3 days
- give the bathroom a proper deep clean
- sort out all my paperwork (currently sitting in a bit of a pile on my desk)
- sort out my makeup
- sew the buttons onto my winter jacket and cardigans
Think that will do for now. I also want to go to the gym each morning on my 3 days off as I've been a bit lax this week. Was planning to go today but the weather was so bad I didn't want to leave the house again.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Had a lovely day off today - went to the gym with my friend and met my gran and uncle for lunch.
I also went clothes shopping and got 2 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of leggings and 5 tops for 38.50. Didn't see anything in the couple of charity shops I went to so went to Pr*mark instead. Was a bit depressing though as I had to get a size bigger than usual, a little reminder of just how much weight I've put on in the last year
Oh well a bit of motivation for the gym I suppose.
I also spent 7.99 on nose studs as I lost my last one in Edinburgh at the weekend. 3.51 left out of my budget of 50.00 so paid it to cc1.
I sorted out all my paperwork and filed it away so my desk is now looking neat and tidy. I'll sort out my makeup before going to bed as it won't take long and then I can hopefully get my other jobs done tomorrow.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
