Not checked in for a while but I'm now all caught up. You've rattled through that to do list!! You and Twiggy seem to be twinnies at the moment, both have friends over from Oz and not really feeling positive this month despite both of you doing really well with keeping on top of things! At least September will be a better month for everyone (fingers crossed). I need to seriously get back on track!

I love how you keep chipping away and the difference it makes.

Thanks INOD. I sometimes beat myself up as I can't always make large overpayments but I just have to remember that even a few pounds here and there adds up.

Hi MrsT, thanks for your post. I definitely feel a lot more positive now and looking forward to September.

A lovely day out with OH today - we went for lunch and a wander round the charity shops. I got a pair of jeans and 3 tops for £6 :). Got a few pounds left over which we've agreed to put aside and use to go out for coffee in the next few weeks.

Payday so have paid £40 to the debt. As that will be the last debt payments of August, I'll update my debt targets in my signature for September.
    Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.8.25 - £106,362.86
    Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.98

    Thanks monz :D

I decided to go to the supermarket today so £20.84 spent but will add it to September's grocery spends rather than August.

I haven't managed to meet August's targets (pay off cc2 and £350 in emergency fund) so will roll them over to September. I also need to have a look at ISAs as the bonus rate on mine runs out mid September and it drops to some ridiculously low rate.

OH has managed to fix the hoover :) and he's also given me a black jacket which he bought on Friday out of the charity shop and has decided it is too tight for him. It fits me perfectly and is a lightweight waterproof which is great as my usual waterproof is more of a winter jacket.

Off up to work just now and looking forward to the start of a new month tomorrow :)

£5 bank account reward went in today so have paid that to cc2 - only £90 to go :D. Today should be a NSD as I've got lunch plus lots of snacks with me so no excuses for going to the shop on my break. The library is open late tonight so I'll pop in past after work to use a computer and look at my payslip.

You're doing great misstara, well done. :T

I'm looking forward to my monthly £5 reward from the new bank account though I suppose I'll have to share it with OH. :p

Thanks ani - nah just steal it all for yourself ;)

    Budget for Friday - £135.16
