    Thanks monz :)

Yesterday was a NSD and today has been as well :T The £5 reward from the bank went into my account so have used that to start off my emergency fund.

I did a short shift for 2nd job this morning and then popped round to a friends for a cup of tea and a catch up. Ended up staying for hours so have not done anything that I had planned to do today, however, feel so much better. I don't think I realised just how stressed I was feeling with working every hour I can, OHs health, trying to pay off debt etc. Was lovely to have a good chat about it all :) I'm on a late shift tomorrow so plan to get up fairly early and have a productive morning.

A productive morning today - cleaned the flat, went to the gym, made banana loaf and went to the supermarket for a few bits and bobs (£9.40 spent).

We got the electricity bill through and it is £170.81 so just £5.81 to put towards it when I get paid on Friday. Got my payslip through so will need to work out a budget.

Not sure if we are going away this weekend any more as OH informed me today that he lost his bus pass at the end of last week and is waiting for a new one to come through (he gets free bus travel because of his health problems). I had a quick check at bus prices and it would be £56 return if his pass does not come through in time. Fingers crossed that the postie brings it tomorrow or Friday.

Right off to bed - double shift again tomorrow :(

Fab news about only being a few pounds short on the electric bill :j. So good that you sorted out the money in advance. Very MSE.:money::T

Shame hubby has lost his bus pass, that's quite expensive without it. Fingers crossed the new one arrives in time.

Hope the double shift is busy so makes the time fly by quickly.

    take care xx

    Hi Steph

Postie brought a new pass today so crisis averted! Double shift was fine, very busy so it passed quickly.

Another NSD so pleased with that. The Lovefilm direct debit went out today and I made a £1.07 payment to cc1. Still haven't made a budget but will do it in the morning.

Budget for this week - £145.27
    - £49 for our weekend away
    - £5.81 electricity bill
    - £12 contact lens
    - £20 food
    - £30 presents
    - £10 toiletries
    - £6 savings
    - £5 emergency fund
    - £7.46 cc1

I phoned cc2 this morning so the 0% deal runs out on the 14th of August this year. I've marked in my diary to start looking for a new deal at the start of July.

I also checked my passport and it expires on the 12th of March which is a bit sooner than I had thought. Had a quick look and it is £72.50 so I better get saving for that.

Back from our weekend away and pleased to report that we stayed under budget :) Also went shopping today to look for a present for OH's birthday and got him some clothes - should have been £90 but were £32.50 in the sale so we were both very pleased :D

On Friday I spent £7.08 on toiletries and 49p on milk. I'm planning to go to the supermarket tomorrow to get a few bits and bobs but then will try for NSDs the rest of the week. I also need to go to the gym this week as not doing too well on that target.

We received a wedding invitation yesterday so need to research flights and accommodation as it's down in south west England. Better get saving for that as well.

I went to the gym this morning and to the supermarket - £20.17, slightly overbudget but won't need to buy anything else for the rest of the week. Will aim for the next 4 days to be NSDs.

Absolutely raging at OH this morning - he has a direct debit going out of his account on Wednesday and doesn't have enough money to cover it  I have lent him the money out of the electricity bill fund (good thing I hadn't got round to paying it yet) so he doesn't get charged for going OD. He'll then give the money back on Friday when he gets paid. I'm just annoyed because I feel as though I work constantly to ensure that the rent, bills etc are paid, I don't mind paying it all myself as he doesn't earn much, all I ask is that he covers his direct debits which are his debt repayments and phone bill. Anyway rant over. On my way to work at the moment so will have calmed down by the time I'm finished :)

Well done on getting to the gym, and good luck with the NSD plan.
slap on the wrist to OH, but on the upside, at least he/you realised before it went out so you are able to avoid charges, it would have been worse if he'd ignored it and incurred fees etc. Hopefully he'll keep a close eye if he knows how much it's annoyed you.

Thanks AleMrsT, we had a good chat yesterday, feel a bit silly, think I totally overreacted but I'm finding it really hard at the moment to be the one who always has to think about money.

The NSD plan is off to a good start with a NSD yesterday. I have a day off today, planning to pop round to my friends this morning for a coffee and catchup, go to the gym then spend the rest of the day pottering about the flat so it should be a NSD.
