I went to the gym earlier. Don't think I said but I have signed up to do a 5k at the end of April to motivate me to keep going to the gym so thought I would see how far I could manage to run today. I managed 3k
which I'm very pleased with as I haven't run for ages, however, my legs now feel like jelly which isn't good as I still have a 5 hour shift to do later.StressedSteph wrote: »Hi MissT
Well done on running 3k on your first try :j. With just abit more gym'ing you will get the 5k done easy.
Hope your legs hold out during your nightshift

Ditto what Steph said :j. I ran for the bus earlier, honestly I thought I was going to die! Don't think I'll be doing any 5k's.:rotfl: I am so unfit, but I can't do anything too strenuous because it wears me out so much with my blood disorder. Although I do enjoy swimming, aqua fit and zumba, I can cope with an hour of one of those each week, but aqua fit and swimming are horrible in the cold winter!! I should really look into a zumba class now, I stopped going before because I couldnt afford it.0 -

Thanks Steph, my legs were ok on the Sunday but really struggled yesterday. Going up and down stairs was not fun :rotfl:Ditto what Steph said :j. I've never tried zumba as I'm hopelessly uncoordinated but I know a lot of people who love it.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.2.26 - £104,364.81

I'll try and make this a quick post as I should really go to bed. Yesterday was a NSD, today I have spent £10.98 on a present for my friend's son, £2.50 on bus fare to visit my friend and £4.89 on some food.
I've decided to slightly change my cc1 target, it's currently sitting at just over £250 and so my new plan is to pay off £125 in Feb and the rest in March instead of trying to pay it all off before the end of Feb. I think it's more achievable as Feb is going to be a spendy month between visiting OH's friend, my brothers birthday, OHs birthday and my SILs birthday. I was also chatting to a friend yesterday that I haven't seen in almost a year and I'm planning to visit her at the start of March so want to get my tickets booked for that pretty soon.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.2.26 - £104,364.81

Spends for today are £2.99 on a lightbulb for the bedroom, £2.55 on food, £1.98 on vitamins and £3.80 on bus fare. Went to the gym this morning before work.
Think I'm coming down with the lurgy - sore throat and feel generally a bit yuk

Thanks Steph, don't feel too bad today although I still have a sore throat.
I went to the gym this morning and it is going to be a NSD as I'm not planning to leave the flat again today.
I got some free bagels today as part of a product testing survey that I took part in so I had a couple for lunch today with some HM lentil and bacon soup that I made earlier. Sat down with OH earlier and made a meal plan for next week, shopping list has been written and I'll head to the supermarket tomorrow once I've been paid.
Budget for next week - £187.84
- £25 christmas savings
- £10 Lovefilm
- £5 savings plan
- £40 food (budgeting extra to stock up on toilet rolls, washing powder etc)
- £50 electricity bill
- £11 tv licence
- £6.84 cc1
- £5 bus fare
- £20 holiday fund
- £15 present fund
The guy came round today to check the electricity meter so we'll be getting the bill through pretty soon. Fingers crossed it's not too high.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.2.26 - £104,364.81

Payday today so have made the transfers to my various savings pots and made the payments to cc1 and the tv licence. Spent £34.89 at M*rrisons. I spent £40 on a birthday present for my brother (my sister will give me half back though). I'm also planning to book my tickets for seeing my friend later.
I had agreed with OH that we would each put in £30 for going away next weekend. He gave me the £30 today and I have been naughty and used £11 to buy face serum
. Better mind to replace it next payday. He has given me a pair of headphones that he no longer uses so that saves me some money there. Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.2.26 - £104,364.81
