    Hi MissT

Glad to hear your gran is on the mend. You are doing so well, and your over-spends for gran were minimal so you will soon be back on track.

    xxx

Thanks Steph. Gran is much better and is now back home. Spending while she was in hospital was less than £20 so easily covered.

You are so organised MissTara :) x

Thanks monz. Since the start of the year, I have learned that being super organised is the only way I can keep track of everything and pay off my debts.

Spends for today are £2.20 on bus fare home (weather was very variable today), £15 on a present for my friend and £21.49 on tea out with friends. I also made a 51p payment to cc1.
    Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.8.25 - £106,362.86
    Mortgage overpayment savings - £2.11/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.98

Spends for yesterday were £5 on some socks, £5 on a couple of stocking fillers for OH and £1 on washing up liquid. Today so far I have spent £1.82 on milk and bread. I'm popping round to see my gran later so will need bus fare and I also need to go to the post office so will have a few more spends to report later.

OH is now working late tonight so I'm going to have spaghetti bolognaise for tea (left-over bolognaise from a couple of weeks ago) and then we'll have pork chops tomorrow. Meal plan for next week:
    Saturday - at work
    Sunday - chicken stirfry
    Monday - at work
Tues - baked potato with cheese and salad
Wed - going round to my friends for tea
    Thurs - at work
Fri - honey and mustard chicken thighs
I have pretty much everything in the flat already except salad things so hopefully will be able to keep food spends low for next week.

The car club still hasn't set up my direct debit so have moved the money into my direct debits account and then will probably pay it manually at the end of the month. I'll need to put £20 towards it as I dipped into the money while gran was in hospital.

So budget for next week - £126.47
    - £8.48 cc1
    - £20 phone bill
    - £16.99 gym membership
    - £11 TV licence
    - £20 car club
    - £25 present for sister
    - £20 food
    - £5 bus fare
Whatever OH gives me will go towards the electricity bill.
    Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.8.25 - £106,362.86
    Mortgage overpayment savings - £2.11/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.98

£3.80 spent on bus fare and £7.15 at the post office. It was to post some stuff away for a mystery shopping thing I did yesterday - will hopefully get a cheque through next week.

Oops haven't posted for a few days, have been so busy with work over the weekend that I've not had time to do anything else :( However 2 NSDs achieved as I've not had time to spend either :)

Friday I spent £3.50 on bus fare, £11 on tv licence and £15.76 on food. Gym membership also went out on Friday.

  • The way you write 'spent £X on bus fare' makes me think you pay for it at the time of each trip?

Is it not better value for you to get a weekly ticket? Or is there a reason why you dont or cant?

Thanks for your comment Struggling Youth. A weekly bus ticket costs £18 and I don't generally spend as much as that each week as I try to walk lots. Also, depending on where I'm going, another bus operator is more convenient so it suits me to buy tickets for each journey. However, with winter coming in, I might not walk so much and would need to look at it again.

Spends for today are £2.50 on bus fare and £1.50 on a sandwich for lunch (very disorganised here this morning).

Spends for today are £3.78 on lipbalm (3 for 2 offer in B*ots) and £1 on milk. I picked up a gift guide while in B*ots so will have a wee look through for inspiration.

I'm planning to phone the credit union tomorrow to see when I can start taking out my christmas savings. I think its the start of november but can't quite mind.

I got my cheque through from the mystery shopping thing I did last week - £67.15 :D I've been having a think about what I want to do with the money and have decided I want to use it to treat me and OH. Putting aside money each month to do things together has fallen by the wayside recently so am planning to use the money for a nice meal out/wee day trip somewhere.

Yip, just hoping the cheque clears ;)

Spends for today are £2.65 on bread and fruit. I went to the gym today for the 1st time in over a week. I think I'm going to set myself a target for the gym for november and stick it on my signature - hopefully it will motivate me to go more :)

Looking forward to monthly payday tomorrow, will get £1106.10
    - £960 rent, council tax and loan
    - £56.10 cc1
    - £25 cc2
    - £25 christmas savings
    - £10 lovefilm
    - £30 travel

Me and OH are going down to edinburgh at the end of november so need to get bus tickets for that. We're staying at my sisters flat so free accommodation :)

I can start taking my christmas savings out from monday so will phone up then to get some money transferred.

Well that certainly makes more sense! I didnt mean to suggest you overlooked something.

You're still doing a marvellous job keeping all the plates spinning! :)
