Yesterdays trip to A*di went very well
I spent £17.69 which is well under budget, will need milk, bread etc during the week but that's it. Just shows what a meal plan and a proper shopping list can do
. Unfortunately this weeks menu plan uses up all the meat that was in the freezer so will have to budget more money next week to stock up.
I also spent £15 on craft supplies and have made 10 christmas cards and my sisters birthday card today. OH gave me £30 so I put £5 for my overspend on craft supplies, £5 for bus fare (to get to work today as it was utterly miserable) and £20 to electricity bill.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £2.11/£50

Today I spent £49 on OH's christmas present but no spends other than that. I went to the gym this morning (unfortunately my friend wasn't free this weekend) but only managed 25 mins before my lungs felt like they were on fire and all my muscles were protesting. I'll see how sore I feel in the morning and then decide whether to go or not. Ideally since I'm off work I'd like to fit in a few gym sessions.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Hi monz, yeah I'm one of those people who loves going to the gym and would quite happily go every day if I had the time/energy. I have been again this morning and managed longer than yesterday so pleased with that.
I got a phonecall from the car club to say that I'd been spotted in one of the bus lanes and have to pay a £30 fine  so will need to get some money put by for that.
However, on a positive note, I finally managed to redeem a £15 Am*zon voucher from valued opinions so that can go towards christmas presents.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Luckily my gym only costs £16.99 so very cheap compared to some. Wow for doing insanity - it looks crazy!
I'd kinda given up doing surveys but the realisation that christmas is coming round fast has prompted me to start doing them again.
Today has been a fairly busy day, as well as going to the gym I have cleaned the flat, helped a friend move all her things into a new flat and made another 10 christmas cards. I made a list and calculated that I will need to make 31 cards so two thirds of the way there already
Few spends today - £3 on shampoo and 2 shower gels, £2.35 on bread and milk and £2 on popcorn and crisps. The last two weren't really needed but oh well little treats are good
Sticking to the meal plan is going well so will definitely making an effort to keep this up. Obviously its easier at the moment because I'm not at work but hopefully will be able to stick to it. And best of all even with my spends today I'm still under budget for food :TMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Morning MissT,
Sounds like you have been a busy bee lately.
Well done making your Christmas cards, so much more organised than me and I bet they look so much nicer than the rubbish ones I will end up buying off the market.
Are they cheap to make? I could imagine myself getting carried away in HobbyCraft and spending a small fortune. I am very good at turning a way to save money into something that's costs me a bomb!.
Glad your meal plan is working out, I am attempting to stick to mine this month too. Just remembering to defrost meat is my secret, because if I forget then it usually ends up with a trip to the takeaway
Hope you're having a good day xx0 -

Morning Steph, I'm making christmas cards like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/emilygreig/5166599972/in/pool-77842086@N00/ (hopefully the link works, have never tried to post a link before). I'm also doing christmas trees and candy canes. It cost £15 for the picture beads, peg boards, cards, double sided tape and a silver pen to write merry christmas. I need to make 31 cards so it works out as less than 50p a cardpretty good for a homemade card and as the cards came in a pack of 50 I will still have some left to make birthday cards throughout the year.
Forgetting to defrost the meat is usually my downfall - I tend to remember about it halfway to work, however, going to make a conscious effort to remember as following the meal plan really does make a difference to the finances.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
