Sounds like you're doing well, Tara
Good luck with being debt-free by the end of this year — that's really exciting!

Saturday
A day off. I went for a run round the local park which was lovely. I then went to Lidl and got some food, £18.75 spent. I transferred £15 to my brother for my mum's birthday present. I got a final electricity bill from old flat - £57.89. Hadn't budgeted for this but paid it out of the bills money.
Sunday
I paid for the accommodation and travel for the wedding next month, £119.50 spent. I also bought a few things that I couldn't get in Lidl, £6.63 spent.
Monday
A NSD. I also ran home from work.
Yesterday
Bought a bag and bracelet for my friends birthday, should have been £25 but got in the sale for £7.50
Today
Meant to go to the post office to send off my friends present but ended up working late so missed it. A NSDbut means I'll need to go to the post office tomorrow.
I arrived home yesterday to a letter from the council tax folk saying that we owed £277.98. I queried it today but it's correct. Got until 1st March to pay it but very annoying as that's money that could have gone to paying off debt. Will review the budgets and see where we can cut back. Will also try and pick up more overtime and shifts with 2nd job to go towards it.

Thanks monz, yeah that's what I keep telling myself.
So Friday I had the dentist and I only needed a scale and polish so £10.88 spent. So happy, I'd totally convinced myself that I would need lots of work. I also went to the library and got out some new books. Discovered I had a fine so paid that, £6.30
. I've put the date they're due back in my diary so I don't get another fine.
Yesterday was a NSD and I did 3 hours overtime at work. It was to go to the theatre with a service user so fun overtime.
Today should also be a NSD. I'm shattered so my only plan for today is to go to work and then chill on the sofa later.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Hey misst - sounds like you're doing great. Rubbish about the council tax tho
Our gas/electric bills have been going up and up recently, and it's so depressing when something else bites you on the backside that you're not expecting (we did end up finding out during an unrelated issue that we had a gas leak tho, so I'm hoping now it's fixed, we'll start paying less over time!)
Roll on the warmer months too - as tight as I am, I can't let my cats freeze (great excuse for me being soft)

Definitely monz, it was really fun
Hi gib good to see you back, hope you're getting on ok. Things are generally going pretty well here
Yesterday I spent £14.04 on a wee shop that will hopefully do us up until next Thursday when I go away for a family wedding. Should only need milk, bread and fruit in the meantime.
Today has been a NSD and I've done plenty of exercise. Ran to the gym, did a work out and ran home then walked to work and currently walking home.
Tomorrow I've got a 3 hour shift for 2nd job in the morning followed by meeting my gran for coffee. I'm then going out for tea and drinks with the girls in the evening.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
