Hello!

Then took DD & DS to Clarks for new trainers - can you believe it I managed to get DS trainers & DD shoes in the sale!:T usually they never have their sizes so i've never been that lucky with the sale before!:D

PP - the M&S towels are quite thick, they are the egyptian cotton - washed them loads of times but still little black threads on everything - main thing is the flanel with the dye coming out - I might take them back or maybe write to them. I dont know if i still have the receipt for them now.

Welcome to Oldsyle Ika200 :hello:
Have a good time at the concert tonight Bargain Rzl
thanks for the tip Dannahaz - I tried kefir making last year but it really made me sick. I have just started a course of vitamins which have pro biotics in them so hopefully they will help but im just worried I am falling into depression again. I am either on top of the world or crying for no reasonand trying to motivate myslef is just too much at the moment - I am just trying to focus on managing to at least do something ( no matter how little ) per day to keep everything ticking over. My house is a mess but I cant be bothered with it - I am focusing on us eating well ( which we are ) and trying to do a little when I can so that I dont feel totaly overwhelmed by it all. Having written all of that out I think it is depression again - cant seem to lift the dark cloud
Happy Birthday Pooky - hope you get over your bug and have a lovely day
Hope you managed to get the bank sorted out mrs_mix
Have a good holiday in Ibiza Wardi

Taplady - hope you and your Mum manage to avoid the flooding
my strawberries are still green csarina - were yours early ones or are mine late
How is lorenzo Kyle ? have just read further on and noticed Twink had him out in the stroller - hope you both enjoyed your walk
((((crazychik))))
fingers crossed for the bungalow Penny-Pincher!!
DD got in from school and ate me out of house and home she is currently on MSN and chuckling to herself  I think I am going to come in just under budget this month on the grocery challenge :T we have had a couple of take aways on top of the grocery spend but no more than £20 so Im happy with it and we really have eaten well this month. Im going to try to change things about a bit from next month. I am going to try to start having my main meal in the middle of the day instead of on a night and I am going to try to cut out potatoes
Still havent heard about the job that I am in for but have a second inerview next Monday for a different one.....just hope I get something soon.
We booked to go to Devon camping a while ago with my Mum & Dad and it is just a month away now so really need to start digging out the camping stuff from the back of the garage which hasnt seen the light of day since last August and get sorted out. If I dont get another job in the next 2 weeks I am going to have to dip into my savings and get a car too.
Well it seems to have stopped raining for a few minutes so I will get on my bike and pop over to Tescos for some bits.

I haven't had time to read all the posts. But I do see that evening meals appear to be 'in'.
Dunno what we're gonna have - daughter can never wait to eat so has had macaroni cheese (ugh) and a nice warm baguette. We have a friend with a sausage machine (no really!) and the oh has just picked up a bagful, plus some homemade burgers (think it's prob industrial sausage machine! - mind you, he is sort of in the trade). Burgers are pork and apricot, lamb and plain pork - he keeps running out of the Angus steak ones so haven't got to try them yet. If weather keeps dry might have a barbie lata - bin dry all day here in Kent - peed down all day yesterday! Power went off this morning, but not for long. Used to happen on a weekly basis, but that's what you get for living out in the sticks where all the pipework, wiring and drainage is as old as the Marsh!
Didn't realize this section was here, hope I'm keeping on the subject, have already posted about the lead article. I've worked with small children for some years and find that death doesn't really mean much to them for very long, they just seem to brush it off. Think it's important that they do not see how upset the adults are and I really do not know at what age a child should attend a funeral. My friend took her two when they were 9 and 7; I'm not sure I would have, even though it was their grandmother. Think it scary for little ones and I am sure that children should not see how upset adults get as they do not understand and children think that adults are strong and I think they get confused when they see grown-ups cry - especially men as all small children believe their Daddy can do anything.
Nice chatting, really should be doing something constructive!Ooh, I've gotta little star! What's that for then?!!0 -
Opps
yes I did get the bank sorted at first they tried to blame me and the way I transfer the money ect but I've done it the same way for the past 6 years then she said it was bank policy to do it that way and she then quickly back peddaled when I told her I had spoken to some-one at head office who told me it should have been done straight away and she admitted it was her fault so the money is now where I put it in the separate accounts
pam xxI didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you

I am so sick of this site timing out its a damn nuisence.......I typed an answer to oops and it disappeared...........
Your strawberries are not late, its because we live in the Midlands, you live in Northern England, and are therefore about 2 weeks behind us.....when we lived in Scotland we did not start picking until the middle to late June into about the 2/3rd week of July, the further north you are the later the crop. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hello!
all is well here!:j the water has gone down a lot and now the clearing up is starting, lots of flooded shops and houses.Mum's house escaped!
The grave yard was flooded, sadly Dad's grave and also my Nan and Grandad's were under water:( , am going down later to check it and see the damage.
DS1 got home safely. The main bridge into town is still shut and will remain so until it has been structurely checked out so will have a long detour to work in the morning.Just hope we dont get any more downpours.
N9eav - am glad your neighbour is recovering - well done you!:TDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Emma (CChic)
Just started to look at the thread for the first time today. I am so so sorry sweatheart. I can't give any real advice about how to break the news to the children (it is too late now as late tea-time) - we had to do it many moons ago when my much loved FIL died!) However, we did keep them as normal as possible (even at school with friend after school having them) as my MIL did not want them to see adults grieving at a funeral. They were only 10 nd 8 at the time. I actually took my children to a family friend's funeral when in their early teens because I thought they should know that death is part of life and that a funeral is a celebration and saying goodbye. I was in my 20's before I had ever been to one and to be honest found it rather traumatic at that age (my darling Gran who was 90 but was she a game old bird!).
Anyway, you take care and you will find the strength. Thank you so much about asking about DD - but no - this third one is hanging in there! She is now worried about size of baby!!
Will let you know when he arrives.
Love and hugs

Hi Everyone
Having just read and responded to CChick's first post today, I feel I am going to have to switch off and shut down. I thought I might be able to browse you all a bit but seeing there have been so many posts I think I must switch off. Still on edge about DD given her problems after birth with last one (OK but worrying). That blasted phone - wish I could switch it off.
I am so sorry if any of you have been affected by the awful flooding/dam business today. Be sure I am thinking of you.
My blanket love, hugs, contratulations and anything else. Even my DH noticed when I came home I was looking extremely tired - and we bickered would you believe about a tie for a plastic bag going back into the fridge. So unimportant and unnecessary but hey ho, that is married life!!!!!!!!!!!
Love to you all and take care.

Just a quick hello
Welcome newbies
((((hugs)))))) as many of you need them.
We're fine water wise, but many around the Donny area are not. As usual only Sheffield has a problem, and Donny and Chesterfield too just get a casual mention. If the Ulley dam burst then it will have a major impact to Donny as we are downstream, though not as bad as a direct hit. Loads of homes being evacuated in case as it will happen quickly. Just keeping my fingers crossed for them. - Rant over:mad:
Well done N9eav glad you were around for him.:T :T
Csarina - was it you with the code for £10 off Tesco? Could you please pm me a link?;)
Back to the paper war, losing the battle I think!:o
Take care all
