    morning

Crazychick, I am sorry to hear about your Fil, hope you manage to tell the Los in a way that they can accept easily.

N9eav, what a star :T :T :T Even if he doesn't make it, at least you know you did everything you could - I really must book a first aid course, I would never forgive myself if I was in that situation, and couldn't help. Go and get yourself a cup of tea with a shot of whisky for medicinal purposes ;)

It has finally stopped raining here, but looking at the news, some people have had a terrible time, :grouphug: if you have been affected by the rain.

Sorting out day today, so may list something on Ebay. Feel like some comfort food tonight, so tea will be oven chips, beans and beefburgers.

Hope everyone has a good day x

Well done N9eav,..... i had to do another first aid course last year for my NVQlevel 2 as im a carer, i was amazed at how things have changed when it comes to resussatating someone. i think that schools should teach basic first aid to the kids.

    Wow N9eav :T well done!

A day at home for me today. I have muffins and flapjacks for the school tuck shop to make. Then I'd better make some more bread.

Hope all of you dealing with floods are OK  , I expect the Severn will be all over Worcester soon, we're high up in our bit of Worcester thankfully.

Have a good day everybody, must go and get the kids their breakfast.

    Morning all :D

Crazychik - Sorry to hear about your exfil. My thoughts are with you and your family.

    Penpen
    - Sorry to hear about your friend.

N9eav - WELL DONE - I think you should be very proud of yourself

As for me, I managed to get a fair bit done last night and even started getting out the stuff we need to pack that we normally forget (my DH has a wine opener collection of the world because of this!). Anyway loads to do before I finish w**k and before we go away and I'm at the dentist again this afternoon so I've no idea how I'm going to feel after that's all done

Anyway best get to it. Hope you're all ok but feel free to take or leave the :grouphug: as needed.

    Good Morning all
Crazy Chick there is no easy way to tell the kids but as they saw him a little while ago and have probably picked up from conversations that he wasnt goig to be around for too much longer I would send them to school but inform them just in case they need to get in touch with you maybe send them in a bit later after you have told them hugs to you and your family
Pen Pin hugs to you forgot to say the other day glad that you saw your nephew?(not sure of relationship sorry) but glad he had an enjoyable time with your family for a few hours

    Good morning everyone

crazychik (((hugs))) condolences on your loss. I agree with everyone else - explain the situation to your children then see how they are before deciding whether or not to send them to school.
n9eav what a hero! Your neighbours are lucky to have you and your OH next door. Hope the neighbour is ok.
hardup hester what a lovely gesture by your workmates.
jockettuk I know what you mean about children in the UK today. Lots of them seem to get too much without good reason and don't express much in the way of appreciation either.

W**k today as I am having Thursday and Friday off to spend time with my cousin. Really need to get stuck into cleaning the house though. Pity "my get up and go" has got up and went. Doing little bits and pieces here isn't good enough so I will have to try harder today.

Wasn't sure what to make for dinner yesterday so concocted a chicken and mushroom pasta sauce from scratch. It was yummy. Must make that again. Have no idea what I am cooking for dinner today - it could be another culinary masterpiece. :D

The sun is shining - how good does that make you feel after days and days of rain? Don't imagine it will last but it is so good to get up in the morning and see sunshine.

Must go and shout at DS and DD. Have a tremendous Tuesday. xx

Good morning to Amie, Hardup Hester, charlies mum, thriftlady and all who snook in while I was tying :D

DD was in her last show for her current dancing school last night ( she is going away to Dance & Drama School, full time boarding in September - I am in denial about that at the momnent :o ) it was a lovely show but I was a bit dissapointed that the theatre had moved some of the seating around and my 'really good seats' had been turned into 'restricted view seats' I complained so they moved us to the side and we had to sit on wooden chairs for the rest of the performance. The show was great but my Mum & I had numb bums :p
Im giving in and going to speak to my Docotrs if I can get an appointment. My moods are so up and down at the moment - I just dont know what is wrong with me but I can not carry on like this. I have spoken to the Doctor about it before but they never seem to take any notice, I just hope this time they listen to me.
No car again today so I hope it stops raining :o and still no home phone

I have loads of little jobs to get sorted out today - just hope I can motivate myself

Have a good day everybody and (((HUGS))) to those who want or need them

    Good morning all!

Well done N9eav, your neighbours must be so grateful to have you nearby.
Crazychik - hope your kids are ok. I remember when my DH had to break it to our kids that my dad died - they were very close to him (I had gone to be with my mum in the middle of the night, so wasn't there) He said it was one of the worst things he had to do.
Amie - I think you must be avoiding me! Yesterday was the one day that I didn't get as far as Portsmouth!!!

Hello to everyone. Sorry this will be a fleeting visit as I am off to Portsmouth again today (was there Sunday & then taking DS & fiancee to Gatwick yesterday) This time I am staying a couple of days babysitting DGDs (aged 2 & 3) I feel as if I am becoming very well acquainted with the M25!

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hello. Off in a moment to check out how thriftlady is doing with her rations!

And might just have time to dry some washing on the line before I go out, as there seems to be a lack of precipitation outside!!!!

Have a good day, everyone! (((hugs)))
