Boots in High Street Birmingham is pretty much decimated.
Got there at 9.15, although I believe it opened at 7.30. Lots of folk by the tills with huge hoards of stuff all paid for, some people still buying were even calling staff to help them move their shopping! There was a lot of small stuff still left when I got there, the Champneys hat boxes and hand cream/wash sets, some Joules bits, lots of the Extracts £10 sets in Mango and Cranberry, lots of Bev Ridge purses too. All the big stuff was gone. Floor slippy as it was strewn with packs of gift tags (I'll wait until they are 90%) but everyone buying was nice and polite, no pushing. Poor till assistants look knackered though!
Spent £28 on small stuff, and I'm going back this afternoon0 -
I dozed off at just gone 4am face first into pillow lying ontop of tablet. I just have been shattered because I don't even remember saying half the things I was posting at that time. Alarm went off at half 6 so I could leave at 7 to get to the big store near work. Arrived at 8am to find a merry little band of about a dozen ladies all queuing civilly. Doors opened minutes after I arrived and in we went. It was very calm actually - I resisted the urge to run. No pushing or shoving but just generally thick people leaving their trolley in everyone elses way. I got my No7 set I desperately wanted (was£25 but I'm VERY jealous of the lady a few pages back who found a bigStar gift No7 box in her local store!) and my Gino things....... then bargains got the better of me and I filled my IKEA bag completely with pressies for other people and had to drag it by the handle to the til. Few people with three trollies full, piled high but I think I was there early enough to miss the carnage. As I was leaving there were women running in the door shouting "NOOOOOOO THEY MUST HAVE OPENED EARLY!". I'm very happy with my haul - I didn't panic buy, I bought specific gifts for specific people. But I'm at work now and my booty is tucked away in my car boot so I can't remember what little treats I bought for ME. Looking forward to getting home tonight so examine it all. And catch up on some sleep seeing I've only had 2 hours!
Hope everyone else got lucky too and found what they wanted! x0 -

People probably know this already but try the tiny Boots shops.
I agree. I went to my local teeny-weeny Boots at 9am this morning. Last week they had practically zero Christmas stock left, but
on Friday I noticed they suddenly had the large Dove sets and some photo albums.
I went in just hoping to get a photo album, but they also had a few S&G, Gok, Sanctuary Mande Lular, No7 and Boots Extracts gift sets. The assistant said they had been delivered last Wednesday and they had been waiting to find somewhere to put them out. I'm sure they would have easily sold at 50% off if they had been on display earlier.
I picked up a a couple of bits but with the sale stock consisting of just one aisle end and 4 people browsing there wasn't any chance of a scrum.:rotfl:0 -
I'm happy with my bargains, got a 2 bath bombs pack of three for £1.20, 2 fern boxes, 3 so perfume sets, monsters university perfume £2.40, and an ales set for under £3, the lot cost £20.
No sanctuary in my branch, lots of women, but all polite and well behaved!!0 -

Metrocentre was carnage this morning! I have never seen anything like it. There were dozens of people with those huge Ikea bags just filling them with stuff. It was near impossible to get down the aisles.
All I managed to get was a Toni & Guy shampoo set and a lovely ceramic kitchen canister filled with sweets. I didn't have the energy to fight my way through for more.
Hope everyone got what they wanted!0 -

By 9.30 the shelves were more or less empty!
I'm disgusted too, do you live in blackburn ?? the old asian ladies cleared the shelves by 9:30 they brought tesco large trolleys which is just near boots in the mall , i just found that to be selfish really to take everything of everything i can see them just popping boxes in the trolleys without even reading what they contain , fortunately i managed to grab a box of manicure sanctuary spa and joules and laura ashley thanks god i loved the smell when i tried it now at home but quiet disappointed i didn't have the chance to get the remington wand that was reduced to £9 and it's one of the greatest products i was waiting for to be discounted from nearly £50 , helas the hunters grab them all in their trolleys gonna do a great profit on ebay though , unuasually the staff was helpful and smiling today :T0 -

Did you really only get two hours sleep? Why only buy tat? I don't think you can blame MSE!
I had a full night's sleep went to Boots an hour after they'd opened as I had to drop the children at school and I bought some lovely presents for Birthdays throughout the year and even a few bits for Christmas. I also treated myself to a few foodie things as I fancied some of the Nandos peri peri sauce. :beer:0 -
Or my god if anyone seen me i was the 1 rocking backwards and forwards crying in aisle 5:rotfl:
the first time i went to boots sale early and it was crazy, a woman and man who must have 400 kids and bought bags and bags a bags
