Went to walsall store, got there for 8 (opened at 8.30) and they opened the doors closest to me which annoyed the queue of people waiting the other side so was a bit pushy shovey but i don't mind that! Got loads of stuff, spent quite a bit of money really, but that's presents sorted for the year. I'm one of those annoying people who was taking stuff back to someone else to hold, but its better than whacking people in the legs with bags! Bought s&g (which was a first, they had none the past 2 years!) boots no 7, lots of fragrance sets (absolutely gutted that when i got home, one of these was missing the perfume!lady gaga), dove, jimmi jams, some beard trimmers and probably more but i can't focus!. The shelves were stripped completely, apart from hundreds of Sanctuary sets and those slippers, oh and loads of gift wrap! A poor assistant bought a cage of stuff out while i was there and was jumped on by about 3 people, she remarked about just leaving it there and i joked that she should have just pushed it out and ran haha it was her first one working and she looked terrified! Ah well, i'm off to bed! Good luck to those still shopping, i look forward to reading what everyone else got0

I walked past just now (didn't go in) and I could see loads of women walking round laden with Boots bags. Unfortunately Parade store had ran out of what I wanted, as did Stratford Maybird, didn't check Shires though but it opens to late for me I need to be in work for 9am and Shires opens at 9am with traffic I wouldn't get into work until 10am!
Hope you got what you wanted
I went to both Leamington stores. Really wasn't much left at all at shires, a few men's sets and fragrance sets and slippers when I popped by after 9 x0 -
With Regard to people taking pushchairs, then complaining children were getting knocked abut- you KNOW its going t be bad, so either don't complain, or dnt take them.
Fairly typical "blame the victim" type response. Well done.
Is it too much to ask people to behave in an even slightly dignified manner? Clearly so. Is it too much to ask people to respect that others have children? Clearly so.0 -
In York saw a woman actually lifting off the actual arms of the jewelry stand and putting them in her trolley, an arm had about 10 pieces of jewelry on.How much ?????????!!!0

Hi
I went to the Chelmsford Chelmer village branch at 9am just as it was opening. no 70% signs up but people were just starting to arrive. Only about 15 ppl and very civilised. few small isles but ppl picking up alot of the sets. I managed to get the beard trimmer for oh for £9, Jakes neverland pirate set for £7.50 ish and some socks and an electric toothbrush for £9. Vey pleased as just popped in to have a nosey and wasnt after anything in specific0 -

It does always make me laugh that people forget these items have all been on a 3 for 2 deal, so really should all have 1 third knocked off the price from the top price. So an item that was £30, really cost you £20 in the 3 for 2, and in the half price sale was £15 (saving you a fiver) and is now £9 in the 70% off, saving £11, so just after a 50% reduction on what you have been able to buy the item at since before christmas. Granted it is still a discount, but it is not that good.0 -
Tons of "newly listed" items on Ebay
I really don't get why people buy to sell on EBay or at car boot, surely they cant make that much money on them? Ive looked at the listings before and very rarely do items sell for even half the price let alone RRP, coupled in with listing fees the return must be low, especially on the lower priced items. Car Boot is even worse, if I took something there which was £10 full price and Id paid £3 there is no way Id get £3 for it!
I think this might be why Boots did the sale at 70% off instead of 75%, try to deter Ebayers and Booters from sweeping whole shelves to flog at a more expensive price. I see this hasn't worked this year though!:money::rotfl::T0 -
Waterloo branch (tiny) no sign of sale at all. Although there seems to be some items which are listed on the sale website at full-price... avoid!0

I managed to get a few bits for myself online this morning but as I didnt get all I wanted, decided to pop into my local small Boots in Oxted. Not a lot at all in there but managed to pick up the last S&G Powder Trip so am pleased I bothered. I was the only one looking at the sale stuff possibly because the signs outside still say up to 50% off!!!0

i recently went into boots (manchester market street) and purchase the calvin klein Euphoria perfume gift set which does not appear to be showing online for me in the sale, but in the store it was only around £20.00 so a great deal! IMO..they also had loads of sanctuary gift set ideas I just stocked up on for future presents!0
