The website is still being a pain. It says it has added something to your basket but when you look in your basket it is empty!! think i may just give up.

Just got back from the Dartford branch, arrived 10 mins after opening and very civilised! People were buying loads though, one lady had two baskets and two of the big Boots bags, all full of stuff. The store wasn't heaving but I would think by now there won't be much left. I got 4 S & G sets to take out to Cyprus for a couple of friends as they can't buy it there. I bought 2 pairs of slippers and a small Baileys gift set for me, a Thomas bath sponge for my grandson and a Joules bath set for a birthday present. I'm off to work now but going to pop back just to see if anything's left.
I've given up on the web-site too!
  • Completely agree the website is a complete nightmare! The only thing that remains in my basket is the Starbucks Candy Cane Mug :rotfl: they must have a lot of them to shift!

It does always make me laugh that people forget these items have all been on a 3 for 2 deal, so really should all have 1 third knocked off the price from the top price. So an item that was £30, really cost you £20 in the 3 for 2, and in the half price sale was £15 (saving you a fiver) and is now £9 in the 70% off, saving £11, so just after a 50% reduction on what you have been able to buy the item at since before christmas. Granted it is still a discount, but it is not that good.
    Precisely - well said!!!

Not withstanding the fact that Boots charge more than their competitors on virtually everything too. 70% off probably almost brings them in line with their competitors. :rotfl:
  • Went to Bmth store. Sale offers were in the back of the store crammed in, Oh my goodness you could not move. Alot of the time you could not even see what was on the lower shelves, lots of pushing and shoving not because of being rude lots of excuse me's etc but you just stood there because of number of people in such a small area.
Some people had brought there pushchairs with little ones in, but this made the congestion much worse and some of these children had boxes fall on them or people nearly falling on their pushchairs, sorry but the initial rush of the Boots 70% sale is no place for young children.

  • Anyone know what's left in the Derby branches? I can't get out until this afternoon! :(
  • If you are going to use any of the boots sets for presents throughout the year, check to see if there are any money off / points vouchers inside. They are usually only dated until February / March.
No7, S & G and Champneys are the most likely to contain vouchers from what I remember.
    Hope this helps.

Just back from Tamworth Ventura Park and everyone was lovely. One lady even offered to look after my bags for me. Didnt see any no7 there at all though, really wanted the big sets I got last year asthey were great.
  • Absolutely disgusting behaviour by certain members of the community, who literally swept everything into their trollies and then sat in the middle of the store floor sorting through it all, I do question why this was allowed by the staff? By 9.30 the shelves were more or less empty! :(
