Boots sale - now 90% off

Gosh, Swansea Quadrant was worse than I remember, especially the organised groups :shocked:
Nice orderly queue of 100 plus, but one woman did roll under the shutter and it was a stampede up the escalators!
:rotfl:OMG this made me spit my coffee out! It's like Indiana Jones.
People probably know this already but try the tiny Boots shops. I went straight to a tiny Boots nearby and they had loads of lovely big gift sets, and even though I wasn't going to get caught up in the hype I ended up buying enough things so I could hardly carry them. I still think the real RRP is 66% of the stated RRP (due to 3 for 2), so a 70% off sale is only actually 55% off the real RRP (the pre-xmas 3 for 2 sale price).

We went to Whetstone, London for 8am, it didn't open until 8.30am. It was fairly quiet with a good selection of stock.
No pushing and grabbing like it has been in other years.
The gentleman that opened the door for us said they have plenty more bits in the warehouse:T0 -

I don't know what the city centre store is like as didn't bother!
Christmas photo baubles 30p each, I should've got more! They were marked as £4.2012 Wins - May - Box of Magners. June - tickets to Udderbelly festival, Krave cereal, Trip to New York with £500 coach voucher0 -
Derby Westfield - madness!
One woman must've cleared a whole shelf of nivea sets, nice of her to leave some for the rest of us!!
There was 100-150 ppl trying to cram into and around 4 aisles!
I'm the 1hr30mins I was there the staff replenished each aisle once, other customers were being so rude! Lunging pushing and even a couple climbing (breaking) shelves.
Some people had trolleys they'd bought over from sainsburys! :O
I waited my turn and at certain times I was passing things bk to frustrated patient shoppers behind me!
I managed to get:
Gillette set
Disney princess hairdryer
Baileys set
Mark hill
Jelly belly set
Other hair/shampoo sets
FCUK set with boxers
Small champneys box
Nose/face hair trimmer
Ladygaga perfume set
Homer Simpson breakfast set
Will add to this later when I get it out.
The men's sets were gone within seconds of being put out!Living in our forever house!

I find this disturbing!0 -
Just got back from Bluewater. Twice as many people as last year. Too many trolleys in the way but everyone was really polite. Spoke to some lovely ladies. Surprised at how many perfume sets were left.0

Back from Middlebrook (Bolton)
Got there 8:50- people already waiting at checkouts with trolley piled high... Many people shopped in teams- one guarding the trolleys (yes, plural) while another rang to shelves, swept the contents into their arms and back to the family member with the trolley.
They would then move to one side and sort through what they wanted!! This is what annoys me!! If you don't want it, don't pick it up!
Most of the better stuff had gone when I made it to the back of the store, however, I spend £34 (£30 of that was points!) and was happy with what I got- hubby got some smellies, got Easter gifts for niece, nephew and daughter, gift for birthday party daughter is attending this month, couple of cheaper gift sets to donate to school summer fair for tombola, and 2 to replace my 'emergency' gift box.
Crazy!!0 -
Got to Swansea Quadrant about quarter to 9 and managed to get lots of ladies gift sets for birthdays through the year and some left over for xmas.
People's greed was so much worse than even last year. No bags/baskets left (no wonder when people had 10 or more each!!). People in the middle of the store sitting down and guarding their 10 plus huge bags filled with sets.
One greedy woman tried swiping the wrong shelf cos she smashed giant oil decanters to the floor! Some women rushing around talking to each other 'We'll make three pounds on that one". THREE POUNDS!!?? Get a grip lol!0 -
I can't get the online site to work.
Does anyone know if there's any stock in Swansea morfa?

I did Manchester Arndale a few years ago. I had been in the day before and hidden the few things I wanted that I knew would go before I had the chance to get there. Had a walk round the aisle, picked up a few extra bits, went and found my stash (which no one had touched) and got a few looks from some of the people who saw me retrieve the items. The queue upstairs was half way round the shop, so went downstairs where it was dead and used the tills there. I then walked back upstairs and out the door there, where some of the same people who where still in the queue and hadnt moved got a bit more miffed as I had now paid and was leaving whilst they were waiting. I did go back a little later and they were opening cages on the shop floor and that was really crazy, people where ripping them open before staff and grabbing whatever they could before taking it to a corner to see if they wanted it. Not much that Boots can do about it, they need the stock gone asap.
It does always make me laugh that people forget these items have all been on a 3 for 2 deal, so really should all have 1 third knocked off the price from the top price. So an item that was £30, really cost you £20 in the 3 for 2, and in the half price sale was £15 (saving you a fiver) and is now £9 in the 70% off, saving £11, so just after a 50% reduction on what you have been able to buy the item at since before christmas. Granted it is still a discount, but it is not that good.0 -
