    For anyone wondering if there's anything left, I popped into Speke retail again this morning. There was a surprising amount left (last year I went back at 5pm on sale day and the shelves had been picked clean!) but on closer inspection nothing really good.
    from memory, there were:

    Lots and lots and lots of slippers / slipper socks
    hats and snoods in a lilacy colour
    Jelly Belly fragrance gifts
    Mini Bench sets
    Giant Crackers
    Cards tags and gift wrap
    Baby's My First Christmas boxes and albums
    A few opened boxes of Lee Stafford hair sets
    Photo Albums
    Hope & Greenwood toffees
    Gingerbread men tins
    Photo baubles
    Guinness books? (not book of records, it looked like a book about the drink Guinness)
    Heinz Tomato soup money boxes?

    Wracking my brains to think what else was there.... most things mentioned, there were a lot of - so I reckon they may even hang around another week or two and go to 90% off!
  • I'd forgotten about the Boots sale yesterday and only checked the boards at 4am just before bed. Well I couldn't believe the number of posts in one day. It was certainly manic and the behaviour instore sounded appalling. It's this kind of behaviour and greed as the vultures descend that has put me off the sales in recent years.

    However I've wanted and needed slippers for sometime so took the plunge online and bagged a couple of pairs along with a couple of multi tool gadgets and a couple of mag-lite torches to push it over £20. Collecting instore tomorrow. I'm chuffed with my bargains and my feet will be toasty warm at last:)

    People of Norwich - Castle Mall is selling these;

    http://www.boots.com/en/SEVENTEEN-Brows-That-Brow-Kit_1414692/

    For 25p each, they had some other Seventeen bits but nothing as good (£2 nail varnishes, etc)

    In the clearance section, ground floor, by the lift!
  • Seriously??!

    Why would somebody taking a photo be dumb? Haha. Some people are weird!

    When I look at this photo and see the state of the store - I cringe to think what a pack of animals people turn into!

    I seriously think me and you unknowingly passed each other several times yesterday as I was in Chapelfield from 8.10-9.10 then in the mall from 9.20 - 10.00.
    I recognised a few ladies that were in both shops at the sametime as me :D

    I've been to Whiterose this morning, there was about 4 aisles left, although not full aisles. Was a lot of sanctuary, Foodie gifts, kids sets, men's gifts etc. was also lots if make up sets, loads of the no.7 palettes. May still be worth going - I heard the SA say to a customer that they'll keep betting deliveries until the warehouse is empty!!!!

    Ooh i might have a trip over tonight! :D thank you!

    I bought the 'Complete family games night in' for £3.60, originally £12. What a disappointment. It comes in a lovely big box, at least three quarters of which is packaging, a fold up board, draughts, cards, marbles, counters and CARDBOARD dominoes. Really cheap looking. I should have gone to poundland and got a better quality one!

    Back away from the boots website... ;)

    AND THE SHOPS! :rotfl::rotfl:
    I only wanted the Joules stuff online and whilst separate bits seemed to dip in and out of stock, I wasn't going to order enough to make it up to £20 so I'm a web order free zone :D

    I went in store this morning... Just to confirm there was nothing left! haha

    Ha ha I did that too and ended up with 3 perfume sets (after a kind person on here posted that some of them were 70% off but not in that section of the shop - Lady Gaga and Britney (they had Beyonce but I'm boycotting her as she wears animal furs in one of her videos and sings about how fab it is grrr) - seems to be just the popstar perfumes), a Charlie body spray and nail varnish set, and FIVE Lee Stafford hair sets (cheaper than buying the products on their own.)
    About all they had left so I did well! Just loads of curry cookbooks left now!

    :D
    Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
    Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

    I went to Chapelfield (Norwich) before work, got there about 8.20am and it was pretty manic but I managed to get;

    S&G FaceTime Set x2
    S&G Powder Trip x2 (FYI, check them as loads of them had been smashed by "over enthusiastic" people)
    S&G Eyes Box x2
    S&G Once upon a Lime Set x1
    Dove Wonderful You x1
    FCUK Set x1
    10 in 1 Tool x1

    Spend about £50, saved £118 according to my receipt and I used my double points and 350 extra points voucher! I use the S&G stuff all the time so it should last me a while.

    For the last few years, I have been going to the 75%/70% off sale before work. This year was the absolute worst I have ever seen it. It was very busy when I arrived and some of the people were just unbelievable. Pushing, shoving, swearing, etc - I have never seen it like that before. There were woman tag teaming and grabbing everything off the shelves. People with double stacked trolleys using them as battling rams or blockades!

    I was sworn at by some middle aged woman because I picked up the last S&G set she apparently wanted.

    Saying that, there was two ladies who did have loads of stuff but were very polite and chatty and were not grabbing the entire shelf full and another lady offered for me to go in front of her in the queues as I had to get to work.

    By the time I got into work I was absolutely exhausted!

    If one of those nice ladies you were talking too was wearing a red coat, that could have been me as me and my mum were just chatting to everyone!!! :rotfl:
    I thought it was slightly busier than last year, but alot less crazy than the mall. I didn't encouter any rude or pushy people - luckily :D

    Went to the Westfield Stratford branch again this morning they have moved the left overs onto 2 aisles. They have loads of lilac boot slippers, Gino things, jelly belly, soap and glory make up kit the one that was originally £40, trever sorbie men sets, women straight hair sets and much more that I can't remember now.

    No sanctuary or champneys though.
