Picked my order up in-store today. It was the Mande Lular Sanctuary set that was the no show...but as luck would have it they had some in store.

I ordered a Be Enchanted? Starlight book thingy which didn't look like much online...it's lovely...if you have any young fashionista types to give to it's worth a buy.

Same situation as you. Should definitely have done store delivery or express!

    Same here!
  • I ordered online at 6am. Before I went to bed, I put 10 different items in my basket, woke up and found 6 of them left. I was happy enough with that, so went through and ordered... Had my confirmation and then the 'regret to inform you' email later that day. Collected my order from store tonight though, so cannot complain about how quick the service has been.

I was surprised at what was unavailable though - two "Joules for Men The Key To Feeling Fresh" sets. I wanted a couple of men's giftsets, but my preferred choices were not adding to the basket on Wednesday night, implying this set wasn't as popular. But, heyho.

Last year, I managed to get a morning off work to hit the Manchester store, which was surprisingly alright. Busy, a bit grabbing going on but nothing too bad. This year, I am back working in a school and as such have no leave to take. I tried our small local store, but didn't expect much. They had a couple of the small cocoa butter sets on an end shelf and that was all - the aisle that had had Christmas stock on is now full of sunscreen.

Still, my bank balance is thanking me. I only spent around £16.
    Final purchase list:
    - Nivea Gorgeous Skin Set x2
    - Nivea For Men Energy Tin
    - Starbucks Coffee Duo [for me - I wanted the mugs lol].

    :)

I ordered stuff on Tuesday night before the 70% sale and on Wednesday morning at around the 5.15am mark. Was given a date of delivery to store on Monday 20th. Think this is because I'm in Belfast though.

Put another order in this morning :o A few No7 sets, beyonce set, Justin Bieber set and Ted baker set........ I think, can't remember TBH. Have had confirmation email already and delivery to store date of Tuesday 21st.
I'm now staying away from the website.:o

Apologies if this has been said, I don't have time to check all the posts on this thread!!

I ordered online at around 5 on Wed. I ordered several fragrance things- so, impulse, beyonce, kate moss, Taylor Swift etc. Thought they were going to stay at 50% off and that was what I was charged but today I noticed online they are at 70% off. I called boots and they are going to refund me so that I have been given the 70% discount.

Worth checking if you ordered any of those fragrance ranges on Wed.

I had the same but have called them to ask for the difference to be refunded and they have said that I have to pay the price it was when ordered?!

Very disappointed with the £15, yes £15:eek: Ted baker 2 piece candle set , one pink glass and one cream, no smell at all, nothing, for £15 well with the 70% off :D would expect it to smellllll:D back to Yankee candles....

I got the Champneys Energising Lime Home Fragrance set & that smells lovely; very fresh.

I personally am not a fan of the ladies Ted Baker range - maybe try Champneys next year...

I do agree though. for the quality of candles and the quality of the burn none really compare to Yankees - a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for.

ah so it was you who nicked my champneys candle out of my online basket ;):rotfl:!

I got the No25 3-wick candle as a christmas pressie - love the scent but its only lasted one week (so i bought another one in the 70% off sale).

I work out how much it would cost me to buy the individual items if they were just on 3 for 2 on the shelf if they are things I use regular one of the S and G sets worked out quite well and the others are smaller products so don't and so I don't buy for the fancy bag. I tend to get make up sets and nail varnish as these work out good value out of the packaging considering how much individual items can be. I buy a few presses but not usually the larger items as I agree it is all packaging when you open them and the bottles are often 3/4 size or 1/2 size in some cases. therefore I always check product size as well to work out the actual value I am getting. IYKWIM

I agree with some of the sets being nothing more than packaging, I tend to go for the hand care duo's and sets with full sizes in too as much better value.

The £10/£12 cube boxes for example have literally nothing in them - 50ml bottles that would last for 2 baths!
Handy for travelling though but not worth the initial outlay.
I really like the Champneys Energising Lime range but resisted the cube set in this for that reason.
Also love Boots Extracts - there was the boxes of 4 bodywashes - 75ml each at rrp £12 - so again resisted that one even at 70% off.

Even the large Sanctuary Tin had a few small piddly items in it to bulk it out this year.

It's not my favourite range overall but the good thing about Soap & Glory is the jumbo sizes!

Still think some of the gifts could have their packaging reduced further, i'd be able to store more then too...

I ordered online yesterday morning about 5am. Choose to pick up in store. Should have been there today between 2pm- 5pm. I've had the confirmation emails so gave them a call. I was told there was a delay in getting some of the stock in to the parcel but it is all there and should get to store by Saturday as it's also held up at the distribution centre due to the high demand. Anybody had a similar situation?
