Personally, the Boots sale doesn't interest me, I'd be mortified giving someone a gift set or the like which was so obviously last year's left over Xmas stock.. I'm also not snobby/rich enough to turn my nose up at a massive set of Sanctuary goodies I was given for xmas from 'left over xmas stock' - in fact, I was delighted! Who cares - it lasts years anyway.

Then as luck (or not) would have it, I was up all night with a bad headache so was able to be online for 5am or shortly after it and placed another small order for some things I didn't order at 50% as I didn't really need them TBH but ordered them anyway.
Now I'm not fussed if I don't get the stuff I ordered this morning, HOWEVER, I WILL be SERIOUSLY PEEVED if my order at 50% off is affected!
As for some posters who complain about prams and wheelchair users. Wise up to yourselves please. That is just rude and WRONG! EVERYONE is entitled to use the shop whether they are able bodied or not.
I've seen loads of complaints of people blocking aisles with prams on purpose or with trolleys, well if it were me being blocked I'd move the trolleys or prams out of the way. If anyone complains then tough luck, I'd tell them to look after their child and make sure they don't get hurt or lost, and the trolleys, well they'd be told that if they don't move them then I will.
I'm not rude, but I'm not behind the door either, if someone is stopping me from doing something and I say excuse me etc and they don't move, then be prepared to be treated the same way.
I didn't go into town after work today as I didn't get home till 4pm, and also I'm still not feeling great but if my 50% things get cancelled there will be hell to pay!
Of course people with prams are entitled to a bargain, was just saying that because of the way our store had reorganised everything to the corner the pushchairs really didn't help the wedged situation in the bottleneck that Boots had created by moving everything.
I personally would choose to not subject my children to the scrum of the Boots sale but that's just my opinion. I was able to get my husband to take them to school but if I couldn't I think I would have just left it - as much as I love a bargain our store was quite dangerous yesterday! I don't begrudge anyone who bought their child, that's their choice.
And of course wheelchair users are equally entitled, that's not what I was saying - I just didn't really appreciated being mowed down by one! lol The driver/pusher (maybe her daughter) was literally flying down the aisles with her sending people flying, clipping peoples heels and one person even fell over because of it. That's not on!0 -
Went to Maldon to collect my order this morning.
They had a few bits still there including some 1/2 price perfume gift sets and lots of the 'seventeen large eye palettes' down to £4.80 and 'soap and glory girl o whirl cosmetic kits' down to £12 (I picked up 3 for my nieces birthdays)
I'm going to return the Starbucks candy mug as the candy canes inside are broken and the use by date on the packet is feb 2014.0 -
Got to my local store at 9 and got a full basket of stuff. At 9.10 a lady turned up and bought nearly everything that was there (all of the gift sets at least). Heard her saying she came 10 mins after opening to give other people a chance lol.I seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be0

Does anyone think the boots sale wasn't very god this time.
Depends where you went I guess, for me personally; I got most things I was after and a few more to boot so pleased overall.
The additional 5% made it seem a bit more expensive than normal - soon adds up!
Don't think anyone's complaining though.
Went back in this morning and found more odds & sods left than there usually would be - cards & wrap, Joules photo albums, sweets, kids perfume sets, RCH phone holders, lots of shot 2 go photo things.
Apart from that the 'cupboard' was bare :rotfl:0 -

I've been to Whiterose this morning, there was about 4 aisles left, although not full aisles. Was a lot of sanctuary, Foodie gifts, kids sets, men's gifts etc. was also lots if make up sets, loads of the no.7 palettes. May still be worth going - I heard the SA say to a customer that they'll keep betting deliveries until the warehouse is empty!!!!0
