They are meant to put it back on your paypal account. But I didn't realise, handed them my CC and they put it back on that. I think it depends if they ask you, you know that is what needs to be done and point it out in some cases.

Yes I agree, I took an aftershave set back last week which I brought in the sale online and DS received as a gift from a relative and though it stated Paypal on my invoice the SA didn't seem too worried and asked for my card

Regarding the poor lady who fell and was simply walked over, This is terrible behaviour! What is wrong with people? I could never behave in such a way, we would definitely have stopped to help, some things are more important than a bargain. A sad reflection of the times. I was almost knocked over by a woman with one of those old lady shopping trolley things running through the store when they opened the doors, such was her need to get past me! Running, really, is it really necessary?! I also had a woman pushing me in the back while going down an aisle, as if somehow there was a way to move quicker when you could clearly see it was packed with people! I despair of how people are these days :(

    Agreed! I'm glad I stayed away!

This thread is better than the cinema at times! goodnight all!:)

I made two online orders. The first one at 5:05 for home delivery and the second one at 6:30 for store pick up. The second one has been despatched for store pick up tomorrow whereas the first one is still being processed. I have received the email saying that some items may be out of stock. I think they dealt with the store delivery orders first because they had to despatched today. I don't hold out much hope for my home delivery order.

I had such fun at the sales this morning. I went with my Mum who has zero understanding of the thrill of a good sale! She stood in the corner with the bags bless her! I got lots of great stuff for family birthdays during the year, some nice bits for myself and some presents in preparation for my son being invited to hoards of birthday parties again this year. Between me and my Mum we had 4 bags and spend a good £180 which I know is a lot but we have a huge family and I tend to do lots of my shopping for the rest of the year in these sales and as a result people get much bigger things than they would if I weren't sale shopping. Example: Son been invited to joint birthday party in February. Got both boys a cool Planes toy and another little thing and together these should have been £23 but I paid £6.90, so for both boys only £13.80 spent rather than £46. I'd normally spend about a tenner on a present for a school party and I've spent less and got more...does that make sense?

I am however prone to impulse buys....but every now and again when school ask for donations to this raffle or that fete, I have a little sort through and they get the things that I find I no longer have a use for. Of course not very MSE, but makes me feel good to contribute lots of nice things to a good cause.

I think people expect too much from a 'sale'.

Quite a bit in stock right now. Ordered the Gillette Mach 3 £1.95 set, joules mini hat box, the soap and glory hand wash set. A few other things still in stock too.

Even more seems to be added - Laura ashley and fearne mini boxes , French connection sets and the torch and the tool key ring thingy.
