I managed to get a few sets of the candle and diffuser online last night. I had really wanted to get the big Ted Baker set but it went out of stock during the time the site went down? I was in town this afternoon and took a peak, the store was quite quiet as there was not much choice. I picked up a few of the smaller sets and slipper socks. There was a whole shelf of the smaller sanctuary boxes left?

Loads of the Sanctuary sets left here too.
My mum went in a couple of hours after me and it seems that Sanctuary was one of the last things to go, she said all that was left was Card & Wrap, Royal Jelly, White Collection and Sanctuary sets - how times have changed eh...

Anyone manage to lose their dignity amongst the hysteria and stampeding? Maybe I'm old fashioned, but honestly I'd rather pay full price and be civilised than push, shove, elbow or play foul for a bargain. This is coming from a skint single mother too!

Well done to those who had pleasant experiences this morning!

Well said...I'm, finding it hard to believe the hysteria over a load,of toiletries that arent that special at all....I used to work for boots and they don't use the best ingredients in their products so are very overpriced for what they are

Went to Peterborough today and it was mad! This was at about 12pm, shelves were nearly cleared but people were still dragging bags absolutely rammed full! Saw one woman with what must have been 20 rolls of Xmas paper!! People snatching the Minnie Mouse hair straighteners off the shelves as well and one woman parked her trolley sideways across an aisle so nobody could get in until someone else shoved it aside :rotfl: to be honest it wasn't worth the hassle!! I left with my dignity still in tact :rotfl:

Because everyone up at some godly hour was using the Boots backdoor link to the website... we had the sale goods in our baskets at 2am ready to check out when the real site when live... Worked for me, no cancellation email yet! I spent 4 hours looking at things... it was certainly a bizarre experience...

For a laugh go back to page 12 or so on this thread and read on!
Snap same for me no cancellation email just one to say my items are on there way

Blimey, sanctuary was the first to go in my local, in fact all that was left were the bottles used in the display, I'm amazed no body took those :rotfl:

I just wish some weren't so totally greedy, nothing against those with large families, lots of people to buy for etc, but it's those either buying for the sake of it or buying to resell would somehow be automatically ejected from the store :rotfl:

  • i went into a couple of smaller stores on my travels today but neither had any S&G or joules stuff so i didnt get anything else. quite civilised in the smaller stores though i found, although there were still a few ladies packing trolleys high with as much as they could get their hands on!!
might check a couple more stores tomorrow just to see if there is anything restocked, still holding out hope for some S&G handwash sets but wont buy anything else as the things just didnt really tempt me.
also tried the website periodically through the day but no luck, and i like sleeping too much to get up early and then go in to work after!
as someone said earlier in the thread it would be much better if they held more stock back in warehouse for online fulfillment, and sorted their website out. wednesday isnt always helpful for people who have to work.
    Car Boot Queen!!

Clothes Golden Rule: Never pay full price unless it is an utter bargain in the first place!
Sales, boots, charity shops, ebay- why would anyone ever pay full price for anything??!
