Re the perfume sets I saw loads of Beyonce sets and some other celeb type sets on the end of the aisle but the sign said £11.50?

Would they have scanned cheaper does anyone reckon or are they not included in the 70% sale in all stores does anyone know?

Mine were priced at the cheaper price but they weren't all with the sale stock and not all fragrance sets I got are reduced online? I bet they would have scanned cheaper though.

  • Thread is getting slightly off topic.......

Ladies, we are all here for the same reason, let's try to be nice to each other? Sounds like there have been enough hosilities in real-life today, do we really need it on here too?

Anyway, diddly left in my local, smallish store at lunchtime so ended up with nothing- there were no socks :(

Anyone manage to lose their dignity amongst the hysteria and stampeding? Maybe I'm old fashioned, but honestly I'd rather pay full price and be civilised than push, shove, elbow or play foul for a bargain. This is coming from a skint single mother too!

Well done to those who had pleasant experiences this morning!

There were loads of the various Beyonce gift sets at the end of the aisles near the No7 counter at Lyons farm if anyone wants to see if they scan cheaper.

I have all the fragrance I need for pressies this year after the Tesco direct glitch on Christmas Eve so although tempted I won't be buying anymore!

Now what I just don't get is why buy it and put it straight on ebay - probably via your mobile while in the queue!

I would never dream of thinking " oh I missed a sanctuary set today I MUST go on ebay and buy it at an inflated price today" Surely there's a better time to sell them such as nearer Mother's Day??

Anyway I have just mooched on ebay and noticed half the sanctuary sets listed are last years !!!!!! ..... I know this I still have 2 sets from last year hanging around hence I didn't get more today and they want full price........ Maybe they have updated their home stash to this years sanctuary tins... Lol

Sorry to hear so many people have had their online orders declined. Just not worth the risk in my opinion.

I got to store at 7.45 am, already a fairly lengthy queue (seems to get bigger every year). Queue was very orderly and friendly & there were men walking past asking what was happening & looking a bit puzzled with the response they were given!
There was a few that waited opposite and ran in when the doors opened - just not necessary!

The checkout operators were sat there waiting in disbelief at all the mayhem - their faces were a picture.

Small stores not worth bothering with this year, all the stock seems to have been moved to the larger stores.
Amazed by how much Sanctuary & Soap & Glory was left, won't be bothering with the S&G offer of the week next year based on the amount that was left for the sale. Think the craze is wearing off a bit or they completely misjudged the ordering quantites.

I spent about £70 (paid with points) so that's Birthdays, Fathers Day & some Christmas pressies taken care of and a few treats for me too :)

    Managed to get:

    Fairisle Slipper Boots
    Champneys Lime Hand Wash Duo
Champneys Lime Candle & Diffuser set
    Gadget Glove Box Kit
    4 pack Cider gift
    4 pack Lager gift
Soap & Glory Lime Bath Set
    Saloniere Nail Varnish set
    Saloniere Body Glimmer Bath Set
    FCUK Mens Gloves Set
17 Mini Lip Gloss Stash Sets
    Beauticology 3 tier box set
    Extracts Bag
    Family Games Night In
    Candle

It was very hard work, got very warm in there trying to carry a basket round with my arms full - they weren't handing out the big blue bags this year :(

Have to say got some good bargains but that additional 5% did seem to add up quickly, not quite so much for the money this year but not complaining ;)

I hope you've all had an enjoyable & successful day.
    Heres to next year

You can tell which people are a bit sleep deprived after the sale can't you . . . . . Never seen so much arguing on here before. Much worse than in the stores this morning lol
